  • The Honest Bunch is an audio-visual podcast that focuses on discussing real millennial and Gen Z issues with no holds barred.
    There are 4 main personalities on the show - Nedu, Husband Material, Deity Cole, and Ezinne. The cast members bring their unique individual personalities and wit to the show. Occasionally, a guest is brought on to share opinions on topics tailored to their experiences, interests, or personalities.
    At Honest Bunch, we are telling original Nigerian realities from the lens of the youth.
    The show is stupendously funny, inconceivably revealing, somewhat shocking, and yet unequivocally informative.

    I am very happy with this discussion and debate. I am a disabled person on both legs. I had polio when I was the age of six. I suffered, schools rejected me, they asked my parents to send me to a disabled school, and no disabled school in our area then, it's a long story. I wish I could be invited to this program so that I can tell the world my story. Being a disabled person in Nigeria is horrible, glory be to God who stood by me and thanks to my mother. I have a story to tell.

    I live with a disability. I live in Nigeria 🇳🇬.
    All I can say is that God has greatly helped me exponentially.
    However, I have not allowed my environment, background, or challenges stop me.
    I am changing the narrative.

    Disabled people are the most ignored and neglected in Africa. Thank you honest bunch for bringing such important conversation to light. You are not only educating Nigerian but the whole Africa. 🙏🙏❤

    • @JerryKelvinKolbe
      @JerryKelvinKolbe Před 2 měsíci

      Yeah, we are highly neglected in Africa, mostly in Nigeria. No accessibility, facilities, discrimination all over the places. I was fortunate to be the first set that studied Computer Engineer back in the '90s. I completed the program then and I was given an attachment Letter for 1 year, I roamed Nigeria no company wanted to accept me because "am disabled". However, when I read the Nigeria Constitution, "Disability Act", I find so many laws that protect persons with disabilities, but none has ever been implemented, then you understand that Nigeria is a FAILED country, but am proud to be a Nigerian, another world I will love to be.

    Interesting discussion. This thing you are saying about airpods and earphones just reminded me of my 13 yo daughter's recent experience. She had an ear infection that was traced to her airpods (bacterial infection). Since then, nobody told her she has dropped the airpods for good.😂 Airpods that she cried and begged me to buy. Thise things are really damaging a lot of people's hearing. I'm glad it is being discussed. I've learned so much today.

      But now. Atleast I'm a "B" grade individual. I do not love subjective or objective. But when I meet theory, I'm fire. It's all a struggle.....we just need Time and energy with support 😢. Now I think I'm realizing the future and nature of life more than my mates and they all think I'm either too exposed or matured and don't want to enjoy the youth circle space with them. Hence, I see myself without friends. Omo...but I'm grateful to avoid the risk of now so my tomorrow would be better and amazing.

    Honest Bunch thank you for this discussion, it actually an important topic.
    I think so many organization staff need to be enlightened on giving priority to PLWD including the elderly. I was in a bank this week and a very elderly man came in for cheque book, you need to see how the staff where telling him to go here and there. i was in front of a cashier, a customer was telling the cashier doesn't he have children that he's coming to the bank alone!.... He will also grow old, he feels he has trained his children well
    The old man felt tired and decided to go. meet him at the door and ask if he has collected the cheque book and he said No he's feeling tired. I had to go back to tell the cashier (the same cashier that attend to me and the same cashier that the old man met and was directing him to another person instead of taking up the transaction himself to the person in charge of cheque book) to attend to the old man. That was when he started asking him, let me have your account and bla....... before i now left.

    Nice program. But I'm beginning to feel like the honest bunch podcast is losing its original essence. The reason it came to life in the first place. The reason I fell in love with the podcast in the first place was the table that used to be shaken by invited guests and even oga nedu. Now, it feels like a programme on Arise TV or channels TV. I'm not going to lie that I don't enjoy the show still, but I don't rush anymore to view. I even sometimes forget that it's Monday, compared to before, where I always had this adrenaline rush whenever Monday was approaching.
    Well done to you guys, and I'll continue viewing whenever I can. But please, invite more exciting, intelligent table shaking guests with substance, eg, Verydarkman, E-money, p-square, and the likes.
