- Conway Twitty- The Rose a Beautiful song from a Wonderful Artist
Incase anyone is curious as to why all my Songs of Conway have this cover to put it as simply as possible HE was the High Priest Of Country Music it's a title this man most certainly was worthy of and deserved - Hudba
S2 E3 True Detective opening scene including this classic Twitty ballad (in hologram via impersonation by Jake La Botz) was brilliant, audacious and yes, perfect.
Just came from that episode
Badass
Normally, I listen to heavy metal and synthpop, but this is one of those rare country songs that hits home.
Same ❤

His voice could melt steel, not to mention my soul! I grew up with this type of music, and although my tastes, as with any teen, leaned toward the popular rock of the day, I still came back to the good old standards!
Hello Julie
Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Conway Twitty.
I was looking for this comment
+Smitty Werben Jaeger man Jensen (Number One) you the one from pirates online?
one of the best
Conway Twitty still is a great singer
Like, currently? He ain't dead?
I love this song I've heard others sing it but Conway is the only one that can bring tears to my eyes Bette Midler bears a second place lol I was raised on country and to this day still fall to my knees when a good classic comes on the radio sure do miss the oldies R.I.P Conway Twitty
I like listening to Conway now. I loved him back in the day but the problem was I was a practicing Alcoholic. Been sober over 18 and a half years now. Thank You Jesus. I love to listen to the music I loved then and still do but now I will remember listening to this tonight. Its Christmas evening here and life is good. Conway had music that was always with a meaning in life. Not really a beer drunk in you beer but of love. I think everyone liked Conway. and his music. At least down here in the south
Two family guy jokes for the price of one and you get to listen to a masterfully recorded and heartfelt classic, no downsides here
Bette was incredible but Conway hit it out of this universe !
Thank you TRUE DETECTiVE 2
This scene.. It was really beautiful. So sad that season 2 is so underrated
two and a half man too
More precisely family guy
@@JD-dt7py yeah season two was just as good, people never gave it a shot.
Thank you family guy
Season 2 of True Detective is still my favorite and I fuckin loved season 1 and also love season 3.
One of the greatest country singers of all time and love this song!
🤜🤛💯👍🏼💜😀
This happened if Family Guy
on April 20th 1991 i married the love of my life..... this was our wedding song. Being so young, i 20 and he 25 circumstances tore us apart . We went our own ways and made lives for ourselves separately. But our love although distant stayed in tact. After 24 years i am overcome with joy and unbelievable happiness when i say that we found our way back to each other!! The song has remained true to it's word. A 25 year old love has bloomed into the most amazinng rose. You are my sunshine baby and i am your rose. love Tracey
That's really beautiful Tracey. Thank you for sharing that.
Wow!! God bless you.
By far the best version of this song.
such a perfect song for that scene with ray and his dad.... just playing in the background....
Brian Badonde "perfect" is right!

Conway Twitty, The best friend a song ever had.
He wss the best and still is
Conway hit #1 on American country countdown, 3-12-83. RIP, Conway
Conway will be missed forever.. his music has touched the hearts of so many.. conway is "the rose"
the truth in his voice makes me cry...such a beautiful spirit..
RIP my mother's favorite
God gave him the best Country VOICE
This was played at my brothers funeral today :( RIP Tony Ray Meyers March 18, 1977-May 10, 2021
I know I’m not even 30. But he is honestly one of the greatest country/pop singers ever. He’s one of the few country artists I genuinely love.
Makes me cry too. Yes he does have truth in his voice. The deep and powerful truth of a man who has come to terms with himself and his life. I don't know exactly how else to phrase it but sweet Jesus I can feel it. God bless you Harold Jenkins.
No one sang with more feeling and emotion than Conway. Fantastic singer who died way too young!!
Goosebumps , anyone? Conway serves 'em up....
lol yep
LOL YEP!!!!
ooh yes❤
Every time. Remember the scene in True Dectives? Must have watched that 100 times.
I have the fire roaring here, but YES!!! I have goosebumps!!!!!!!
Who was better? No one. Conway ruled.
Oh my goodness. Conway Twitty, brought tears to my eyes. My Mother loved listening to his music in 60s as a little girl I would say pointing towards the TV that's Conway Twitty, he can sing. She was right. I love this song. They don't sing'em like this anymore. You felt their soul when they would sing the words to the they were singing. It moved you, touch in ways that you didn't think you could be moved.
Chris Stapleton would probably be the closest today.
I will begin by saying, yes, I'm old. I've been through many generations of singers, and I can honestly say none of them touch the soul as deeply as Conway did. He is the most underrated artist of all time, with a record breaking number of hits. I remember wanting to be just like him as a child, and to this day, no other artist can come close to the 'touch' he laid upon my life. RIP Conway, you are sorely missed.
When my niece played this for me she will never know how much I really needed to hear that. Zina you are a rose to me and I will always love you and your sister very much, God used you to lift my sprits thank you sweetie !!!!
Hello Laura
I hope u r good and healthy sir. Peace
"The Rose"
Some say love, it is a river
And that it drowns the tender reed
And some say love, it's like a razor
And that it leaves your soul to bleed.
Some say love, it is a hunger
An endless aching need
I say love, it is a flower
And you, it's only seed.
It's a heart afraid of breaking
That never learns to dance
It's a dream afraid of waking
That never takes the chance
It's the one who won't be taken
Who can not seem to give
And the soul afraid of dying
That never learns to live.
When the night has been too lonely
And the road has been too long
And you think that love is only
For the lucky and the strong
Just remember in the winter
Far beneath the bitter snows
Lies the seed that with the sun's love
In spring becomes the rose...
God Bless you for typing the Song's WORDS.
Thank you
Great version of a great song by Conway
❤️🍷
Love this song! Conway's version is the best! Love this man and his songs! He is missed and can never be replaced by any other!

I found my rose April14th, 1962, she is the the love my life, We ran away and got married on May1st, 1964. I still have my rose, the flower of my life forever she will be. I love her with each passing day and till the day death will part us. But I pray that eternity "our love will continue". Thanks for all the happyness you have given me. YOU ARE MY ROSE, FOREVER YOU SHALL BLOOM I MY HEART .

Jay Quintana Nah you're right lol after that season (doesn't matter how much we like it) it will demand more effort to please the audience. It simply wasn't that great for most people.
grandma, I know you are in heaven, I'm 46 now, thanks for teaching all the country's best, you where always right, it can never be replaced, you and conway will never be forgotten, I miss you. these is the one we would cry over when I was little and we dance and cry over my grandpa, will be together again,
So good. The best. Great singer.
I love this song. My son plays it on trumpet and it still gives me shivers.
"Where is this?"...
"I don't know... You're here first."
Bette Midlers version is 100x better.
man o man I ain't heard this song in years. my granddaddy used to sing it.... he had a low baritone voice that if I heard it today I'd probably cry.
I think Conway did a fantastic job carrying genuine tones to the song as if you're having a conversation with him not just hearing a song, but when you take such a heartfelt song and give it the powerful vocals of Bette Midler, it takes it to a whole new level. Much respect to Conway. Great song. Great singer.
Oh, what a voice! Love this rendition and Conway Baby's low growl!
I love this song. It is so full of truth, and so sad too.
I LOVE ❤️ HEARING HIM SING THIS. BEAUTIFUL. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. R I P

Breaks my heart. I used to sing this in grade 7... I truly wish I could go back. Things were simple

God bless you sir, God willing it will better from now on.
@@jfvira9844 I hope it will !!!

I love it when the children, not only enjoy the music, but play it when they get the chance. ") This is the amazing grace song that everyone should sing.
Even after all these years, this song is still one of his best song's! R.I.P. Mr. Conway Twitty

I was young when he passed away and was devastated. I would’ve loved to see him in concert
He was awesome in Concert... Only got to see him live a few times but they are memories that I treasure!
Hello Regina

Never be abother Conway. He was very unique. He was a great country singer.
I knew him and I loved him!! Also his son and grandson!! Very respectful family
Hello Rosemary
This is the most beautiful song my ears have been graced with!!!
Hello Tami
1 of my favorites, hubby sang to me when we met in 1981 ,now 29years of being married to him he still sings it to me.
That's great but how about you have a bit more respect for your hubby and call him your husband? I'm willing to bet "wifey, what's for dinner" would not get him very far 😊
Tell ya what.....when you've been together that long you call your husband whatever you want! Hope the rest of your lives together are filled with happiness ❤️
This was released in 1983.
I asked the love of my life to marry me with this playing...lol,so many memories,25 yrs together ❤
What a fantastic song, I had never heard this song before True Detective 2.
Sometimes I listen to the old country music like this and it keeps me going because sometimes in your life this is all that's left of the wonderful music that we used to have......sometimes I feel so sad and lonely and then i listen to music like this and gives me the will to keep going
Smith are the one 🕐 that ✌️🔡
Conway can never be replaced. He sang from his heart straight to our hearts.
Hello Phyllis
It was a great loss when he passed I loved his music then and I still do hes was the greatest
I believe this was the final song of his performance in Branson the night before he passed. The last song he ever sang. God bless you Harold Jenkins. Your music deeply touched our hearts and souls, and it always will. You will never ever be forgotten. May your beautiful sweet soul rest in peace..
😪❤
Conway Twitty was one of the best, I grew up listening to such artist as Conway Twitty, Kenny Rogers, Loretta Lynn, Eddie Rabbit, Jeannie C Riley although I think she is a one hit wonder with Harper Valley PTA. Then of course Tom T Hall and John Conley and many many more that were great singers and songwriters back in the day when country music was good and not this Rock and Roll country of today that people think is country but is really rock music claiming to be country.
One of the best songs ever written !
I could listen to this song, over and over again, and it will never get old. Same with the true defective scene. True classic
Bradley Davis me to
Bradley Davis Check out the song "I See The Want To In Your Eyes" if you haven't already heard it. It's one of the creepiest songs ever recorded and one of the best, at the same time.
Bradley Davis awesome song
My Birthday coming up AUGUST 5 th , 1965. love roses all colors love this song.
The best friend a song ever had.
I enjoy listening to this very much. Conway put so much into his performance, whether on record or live! I miss him, I miss what could have been for him, I feel he had much more to do! I'm sorry he doesn't get more recognition for his legacy. RIP Harold Lloyd Jenkins!
Thanks for your sincere compliment and love ,I’m not complete without you as my fan.
@@conwaytwitty5546 Sang that booger for Unlce Clifton Clower up on Woloverton Mountain, LA Man.
Who's here from True Detective
This song...It's perfectly constructed, and Conway sings it with an emotion that only can muster. It's inexplicable but it conjures up images of everyone in my life who has passed, friends and family alike...crushes, true honest friends, male and female alike. I think that the only other male artist that would be able to give this song its hauntingly beautiful quality, and he'd do it in a way that nobody else could and that would be Elvis Presley. R.I.P. Michelle, Shelia, Therese, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Keyon...
My Mother used to play this album while my father was at work. We were stationed in Germany 1982. I think it was an expression of her love for her Soldier
I love your mix and I LOVE Conway!!! To call him a High Priest would be an insult to him and I say with all due respect to you as Conway would want all his fans to remember him in their own way :) Even George would not want to be called that either, how do I know?? My dad and George were best friends and I saw George and Nancy right before he passed away. He was a Christian and would not want to be called that either. My heart is deeply touched by this mix as my husband and I relived a lot of memories. It isnt the same with them gone but their music will live on forever in our hearts and souls. God Bless :) I Love them and miss them dearly.
Oh How my mom would play his songs all the time now as I play them I think about the Times back thim. Rip both you and my mom.
Right, I hated it back then , and would give anything to hear my grandma to say put Conway and larettlyn on
Two of the greatest Voices of music from Mississippi an both are gone now! ELVIS and Conway
No one sings it like this man, touches my very soul.
I lost my 21 year old daughter in a terrible car accident and I played this song at her funeral 💔 She liked Conway and loved this song. Losing a child 8s a Mother's worst nightmare.
I'm sorry for your lost. May your daughter rest in peace.

This was my mom and my song she sang it to me then I learned it and we sang it together no one will ever take that from us ever!
This song helps me get over winter time depression. Far beneath the bitter snow lies the seed and with the sun's love in the spring becomes the Rose. Nothing can better describe S.A.D than this. Things will get better with time.
I loved that song and his lovely voice.. I'm 81 now and haven't heard it for years. Thank you.
You're quite welcome Margaret Conway is my favorite singer,my Dad's and Grandmother's too I've had the pleasure of growing up and listening to him my entire life
One of my favorite all time songs❤️
