Ramsau Plateau - Austria 🇦🇹- Cross Country Skiing

Ramsau am Dachstein is located in the district of Liezen, state of Styria, Austria. The elevated plateau has the same name which lies between the Dachstein mountain range and the Enns valley.
This video was filmed on a Sunday. A day when locals and tourists compete in a number of cross country skiing races or Skilanglauf as it’s known in Austria.
Most of the action was filmed in the Langlauf Stadion. The stadium is the centre for cross country skiing. The plateau being above 1100 metres makes it excellent for langlauf with plenty of fresh snow throughout the season.
You will also see some video of the local church in the town of Ramsau am Dachstein. Plus, the Aktivhotel Pehab hotel which offers some of the best food in the area.
Alpine skiing is offered via the Rittisberg lift, featured in the video. The pictures of the ski lift have some historical value. A new improved lift system has been built for the coming season.
The Ramsau plateau is one of the most beautiful places I’ve visited. It truly is a magical place. I hope you enjoy the video.
