- In this video, watch as I disassemble my inflatable Santa Claus and attempt a repair. He was damaged by a sever wind storm we had a couple of weeks back.. I do get a surprise when I removed the motor.
Is it worse than I thought?
Here is the link to my Christmas light display that I used to set up years ago!
Great video. Merry Christmas to everyone!
Thank you! Merry Christmas!
i had a yard full of inflatables and they had cheap crap motors that look like a computer fan and a 12-volt adapter and finding a replacement motor it costs more than a new inflatable on clearance sale. seems like the bigger the inflatable the better quality the fan and the material.
I have a few with the smaller computer fan motor as well. You're right, they are not very durable. Especially in the snow and water. I prefer the bigger ones anyways. :)
If tou give santa a coat of flex seal clear the inflatable will manage to stad up by it self
I’m now “ haunted” with the insides of an airblown fan... I fixed a snow globe, 12 ft reaper, crawling animated reaper.
I had to get rid of my 15 year
Old Christmas polar bear last year. Too many holes and duct tape!!! Wish I would’ve watched this earlier! Merry Christmas!!!
I’m sorry for your loss. RIP mr polar bear and Merry Christmas to you as well! Thank you for watching.
Its not the fan messed up its the fabric it needs to be coated with clear polyurethane he will come up with no problem
Thanks. I tried scotchgard and that didnt work at all.
@@bunberrier yeah i tried that before but that does not work. I recommend flex seal clear instead of polyurethane because it does not crack at all.
Have you tried putting a new fan in it maybe its original fan isn’t as powerful as it was when it was new
No I didn’t try that. When I pull it out this season I might do that. .
@@NorthernHomeGarage if I were you I would put a YEf 200 on it But those fans are about $150
paint it with polyurathane and he'll be ready to go
Thank you. That’s not the first time someone tells me something similar. I guess they lose their “seal” in the fabric over time.
Diganme ke pegamento uso ya ke tengo mi inflable y no infla y el motor esta muy bueno .ke le puedo echar ala tela porfa
Have you tried flex sealing
Are you referring to the spray? I’ve seen a commercial of a guy who puts a screen door at the bottom of a boat and sprays the screen then drives the boat lol. I did not even think of that stuff. Thanks for the idea. I might just try that in the fall!
@@NorthernHomeGarage yeah the fabric is thin so if it barley functions and the miter still works that’s what’s wrong
1:34 "there was nothing we could do" ya know if you would of had some common sense you could of just took it down and brought it inside during the wind strom DUH
It’s wonderful to see a fellow CZcams creator keep the spirit of Christmas and kindness in their heart with constructive and very helpful comments like this.
The fabric on your inflatble is melting
It’s not in new condition that’s for sure !! :)
