I don’t know who he was referring to as “obnoxious snobs” but twoset was definitely not praising playing wrong notes. They were implying that emphasising on not playing one wrong note and completely ignoring musicality is wrong. Music is supposed to be interpreted and performed, not only about playing rigidly the right notes. Of course if you prefer a midi file over a tasteful performance that might have one wrong note, then fine that’s your preference.

Once I heard a piano piece, one that everyone has heard or played, without any phrasing. I didn't recognise the piece!! It took me a while to process what I was listening to. That was a very strange feeling. As though the notes had no duration even though the durations were correct. As though they were random marks on a sheet of paper. It was very strange. Musicality is another issue. Your non musical version sounds "perfectly correct" (even though emotionless, colourless and harsh) compared to that piece because there is phrasing and all (at least in the first piece. You eventually had to find a way to play without musicality)

Just report her and her friends who are spamming the comment section, they already did that yesterday.
I reported all of their comments, but the more people do it, the more it's efficient.

Actually, when you come to mastering your instrument, having NO musicality becomes virtually impossible, because you're inclined to add style to it impulsively.
So... props to TwoSet for managing to phrase questionable musicality?

Hmmm letting Brett play Tchaikovsky with musicality is such a *TEASE* when they _Obviously know we desperately want that recording_ 🙂😤

They really struggled w this. That really just shows how great of musicians they are

Any musician would struggle. It's extremely hard to play properly without feeling. The only people who can do that were forced

I only recently discovered this channel and I am everything but a musician but I have the impression that Brett is more of a lyrical player while Eddy is a very emotional one. They are going to make me get a violin and practice 😱

Nice message!! For those musicians that are amazingly perfect in what they do but with ANY FEEL! This happens a lot with singers, there are plenty of singers with amazing technique control and dynamics but they aren't able to make you feel anything, and others that are good but not the best technically speaking but they are able to bring the emotion to everyone, those are the ones who stays in everyone's memories
