Welcome to A Noob’s Guide to a hellscape campaign where every turn becomes, who’s gonna declare war on/ kill me?
Salution? Play Phaliaus Darkblade (I know that's not his name lol) and be line to get the sword of Khaine. Take over the Broken island province and capitalize in slavery. Let Tzar Can take over and only recruit Black Arks. Black ark lords are the only lords who will not deffect and the fact that the Broken Island province is mostly harbors means that Black Ark lords can defend them. Army build?
1 Phaliaus Darkblade (With the Sword of Khaine Dominating and not the Warpsword)
1 Regiment of renown chariot that is Anti large
1 Cold one Chariot
1 Regiment of renown Blood Queen's executioners
1 Regiment of Renown Red Siren with a follower that gives stalk and snipe (assigned in one of the Tzar Can quests.)
2 Har Ganeth Executioners
1 Regiment of Renown Raven Herelds
1 Sorceress (Fire for AOE incase infantry is up the ass)
1 Sorceress (Shadow for buffs for Phaliaus)
2 Black Guards of Nagorond
And the rest Bolt Claw throwers
The strategy is to let the artilliary do its work and the chariots harras or do counter artilliary while phalliaus murders everything while having artilliary support. It is smart to also give him the healing potion for longer sustainabillity. The reason for why he should have Khaine's blade instead of Worpsword is so he can kill off single entity targets easily. He's already pretty good against infantry mobs so let kim kill big things too.

That is accurate to the campaign I just did. I was literally at war with every faction adjacent to me at one point, and I didn’t declare war on any of them myself.

Goblins from warhammer are special to me. When I played greenskins for the first tike I clicked on the goblin and heard its voice. Spent 10 minutes in a trance of listening the voice lines, then the next hour pacing around the house doing a gobbo voice. Now it's time to finish this journey and play Skarsnik

Fun fact, skarsnik to disprove the fact night goblins would die if met with sunlight, scaled one of the 8 peaks and later bathed in the sun even as it burnt his skin.
This was what he took as a sign that he was chosen by the gods to conquer the peaks.
Skarsnik gets shafted in the End Times, but comes back in age of sigmar as a tiny comet, eternally blessed to follow around and orbit The Bad Moon avatar of gorkamorka as it floats through the mortal realms

nah, I like the goblins a lot (probably the most fun playthrough I ever had was when I played as Skarsnik and completely ignored Karak Eight Peaks in favor of taking over the entire Empire and fighting off Chaos with a Goblin only army)

Skarsnik's campaign isn't from before he achieves greatness

any time iv ever played skarsnik even after getting 8 peaks i never bothered with orcs, if i wanted orcs id play the other greenskin factions i play skarsnik for gobbos
i feel the same thing with tehenhauin, winning with an army of skinky bois brings so much satisfaction.
They're not as bad as people say they are when you use them the way they're supposed to be, people just don't bother trying to flank, and the gobbo-wave attacks when you get a shitload of armies stacked up on a city is quite satisfying
Ive played the Skarsnik campaign more than any other in Total War Warhammer 1 and I never take Ork units, only things you would expect find in a goblin army like trolls and squigs.
Ahhh the goblin lord that would rival tzentchs greater demons and the skaven in over the top sneaky plans. And would have a good chance of winning in backstabbing contest between them all.
I'm pretty sure most of my lexicon of euphemisms is 99% made up from things I hear in these videos
It's important to keep diversifying your vocabularium. Also, a self imposed PG-13 rating forces me to find creative ways to talk about boning someone's backside.

Skarsnik can actually recruit orcs before getting eight peaks. If you conquer territories like Galbaraz, you can get access to savage orcs.
My first campaign in TWW was with Karl Franz, like every other decent person. However, my second one was with Skarsnik, and it was a blast. I managed to keep most of my first army for the majority of the playthrough, challenging freaking Kholek with golden chevrons gobbos and hiking my way to Karak Eight Peaks (because I didn't know you could cross the sea) like a green mean Hannibal crossing the Alps and confederating the Grimgor, which led me to a war with basically half the continent. Then I didn't recruit Orcs because come on, if I wanted to play Orcs I'd be playing Wurrzag.
Best campaign ever 10/10. Gobboz rule.

I've been playing TWW since the first game released.... I didn't play as Karl Franz even once until the Empire update in TWW2 (first guy I played as was Mannfredd Von Carstein but Skarsnik was the first campaign I ever actually finished)
Long time Total War fan, and it was my first introduction to the Warhammer universe... In about 4 years of playing, the only time I've played a human faction was the Wulfhart campaign. And I only played that for about an hour. I just can't play humans in the only Total War that has dinosaurs and dwarves and stuff.
The only reason I play Karl Franz more than Gelt is because you can't change Gelts Elector Count Position if you play as the golden order. And I want him in Wissenland to get the best artillery possible.
But Bretonnia is still the better human faction. For ze lady!

@@lilwater7358 That's an ability by Night Goblin fanatics. It's very short range and spreads like a tear shaped cone spell for other factions heroes and lords.
Basically get a Night Goblin Fanatic into a melee with a lot of troops, use their ability and watch the bodies go flying and that one unit getting 200+ kills.
I remember listening to this for the first time when I misheard a description, and was very disappointed to learn Skarsnik didn't run around with a giant land dwelling squid.
Skarsnik is hilarious in WH1 where heroes can still assassinate lords. You start out every fight with enemy army without a lord because you already stab the sucker to oblivion and you can win the campaign by just send your best gobbo boss to shank the Neverchosen.

This is actually a quality jewel for almost the entirety of both the Total War AND the Warhammer Community! Excellent work sir! I'm glad to see that you finally got some viewers since I last followed your channel in those times, where you already provided high quality, but only got a couple hundred viewers. Yeah, to say this has not aged well is.. an understatement.
I thought the story was that Gobbla was killed by a skaven packmaster and it broke Skarsnik so bad he just kind of wandered off in a daze.
I came for the lore, I subscribed for the "Koala" submission
I demand a redo of this video for when the Greenskin update comes out. For the most part it should still be the same but I would like to see some insights how the greenskin mechanics effect Skarsniks campaign.
If you don't I will be severely disappointed.
The koala bit got me rolling
When I play skarsnik I just send weak gobo melee units first then just pelt my enemies with poison tip arrows, I get about to armies just stacked with either night goblin archers or arty units. Works like a charm.
I love these Noob Guide to: Total Warhammer 1 & 2 vids, makes me consider getting both games and deciding who to go for as a faction or leader. I do hope this series means every single leader from both games are getting a video like this because I, a Noob can digest the information and grow ever more fascinated with TW as a game probably better than other strategy games. Id love to see future videos on the Forest tree Elves, Beastmen, Tomb Kings, the Vampire Counts, heck I can't decide because every leader looks so cool and they deserve a video to spotlight them

Gobbler is literally a cross between a Staffie and a space hopper.
Koala's are not bears; the sun bear is the smallest species of true bear. And has the advantage of allowing him to respond "yes, Daddy?" naturally when you call him that.
