This gets me even more stoked about my NL3 due to arrive next month!! BIG thumps up!! Inspirational stuff!
Seems to combine so much sound and controls!! Will take the central space of my microkorg. With a minibrute, microfreak and kaossilator pro it's my current multi-layer synth setup.
Your demos are better than most albums. Truly you are the god of synth demos.
Lol. I started watching Jexus synth demos, now i find myself just putting them on the background while web browsin. Ace!
genius behind the keys!! the best demos of all machines i ever heard.!
Amazing as always...your thoughtfulness and time spent with the synth certainly shows in your ease of control and manipulation, and the awesome sounds you get out of it. The ending was just lush, and was a perfect way to send me to sleep ;]
Excellent stuff, always inspires me to work a harder and push that creative envelope when I listen to what you're doing on here. Keep up the great, great work!
NL3 is performance synth and you show it at the full value!
Thanks for your job, and for NL3 (which is my fav) demo particularry !
Keep up your work. Good luck.
We live on a mountain is really awesome. Cool editing too, I like the train in the tunnels part.
And the music - the music is just GOOD!
Insane demo. Great job!
You did some real incredible stuff with this one.
Best demo so far for this synth.
The patch titles, so amazing
Killer tracks and sound manipulation!🎹🤘 So awesome!
great job and nice video edit too.congrats.
wow man, killer stuff.
My God You're a Genius
goooood stuff
This guy is a freakin' genius!
first patch is wonderful
amazed
JEXUS the mad maestro!!!! heheheheh -Nord rules!!
Maybe not the 1/2, but the 3 has many more tricks up it's sleeve(s). Anyone considering any synth should download the manual for a heads up as to what it can do. The NL3 can cover a lot of what other synths can do, from warm analogue impressions to digital filth. I've yet to find as good an all round sound creation tool.
Nice, we get some new camera angles.
Nice!
GREAT F***** DEMOS MAN!!!!! :-D LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!
haha that feisty little bugger @2:48 thats some wicked shit there
Feisty buggers. blew my mind.
I think simple patchs sound great on the Q. It's probably the best part of it, you don't have to dig to get beautiful results.
2:30. Holy Shit, I made an identical patch for my Korg R3 a couple months ago.
Once again Jexus, you pull off an amazing demo using a synth you apparently dislike. Perhaps you find the challenge creatively stimulating?
I call bjork hyperballad at 6:35... ;) just saw, so do you- "we live on a mountain"
Thats fucking great !!!!
Which one of these would you recommend the Waldorf Q or the Nordlead 3 or maybe even the nordlead 2X some say the later sound rawer and the NL 3 sound more like a VST which I can't hear it do at all, it sure sound fatter than any VST I heard. I love your videos by the way, really awesome, the waldorf one was very beautiful and I always did love the Waldorf sound but this is a little like it also I must say.
@esiclene Thanx for the advice !!
Id like to see what Jexus makes of Nord Lead 4 and Elektron Analog Keys. I can't decide which I want to buy :)
+aikighost did you end up making a decision?
+RhythmDroid Got the analog keys in the end. I like the flexibility, perf mode and the sequencer.
Have you explored all the awesomeness of multi-map mode? I think Jexus would be so into that based on the way he plays synths, interacting with sequences and arps.
Multi-map saved my ass on stage cause my bandmate's chords were so impossible to remember, I just made a pattern for each of the chords, stacking 4 notes on a trig and extending the note length. Then using multi-map, I had each pattern triggerable by playing a single note. Cheating! hahahah.
surfacing / drowning / soo goood
@theHackerOfMayhem Thanks for the responses, I have been wanting a Q for many years but I also am interested in more analog stuff. It seems though like I would be able to do more with the Q as a starter, but then the Tetra 4 is tempting but also other more raw stuff like Neptune 2 from Spectral audio and kraftzwerg MFB. Not as versatile but what they do they do good.
What is the difference between nordlead 2 and 2X, I mean is the 2X also some softer sounding version over the 2?
Dear Lexus.. congratulations 4 your performance!! really amazing, and much more!
Give me an expert opinion.. I wanna buy NOW a VA from clavia, what do you think is better between nl3, nl2x and nord wave?? i mean expecially for SOUND!!!
Greetings.. and keep on like that
Valerio (ita)
Dude... you won't catch me commenting on youtube videos too much but 2:12 kicked some ass!
@esiclene You mean feel regarding to Sound or interface... or both ^_^. ?
I have a Q and I'm thinking about an analog (I´ll never be satisfied until I try them in deph) but nords look quite fine...
@M3sslah Oberheim OB-12... Waldorf Q is a fantastic synthesizer - NL2 rulez! (POLYPHONIA project used G2 expansion).
Nord Lead 3 is wonderfull for "atmo" sounds ;D
You should sell the prests, I for one will get one for the Nl3. Or maybe some tutorials videos, I have tried but I can't make the nord scream as you do
WC Olo Garb is a fucking artist. I know he has music of his own creation out there on his website to listen to, but I'm afraid to listen to it. If he can render this sort of magic with a synth DEMO, listening to music made by him must be like touching the hand of god...
do you have to marry each synth before you learn the patches which u like the best for analog? with 41 key nord synth or 61 key
This guy is insane.. in a good way?
when make you a demo of the waldorf q xt :)?
super demo i just wish i had the £££ to buy this gem
"Stampeding of Planets" 7:05 and "20 Years Later" 14:18 are incredible patches
Can you please make them available for download?
@theHackerOfMayhem Heck, me too !!
zdaje sie ze to Ty mieszkales z moim kolega a Twoim wspolokatorem Mattem, w 2006 pokazal mi Twoje nagrania i do dzis pamietam jeden z teledyskow ze szczurem, wrzaca woda itp.

Whohoooo, whats the Name of those Pills you take Dude !
Lots of FM-sounding stuff here.
georgi moroder movie at 3:30 nice jam
@iamwhitebox What does make you think so?
I want create EBM or industrial music. Which Nord lead will be the best form me?
dude, listen to the demos. Any of the Nord leads will make excellent Industrial.
at 1:45....I think Fever Ray used that sound on her record.....
@esiclene I don't think you can actually "get lost" within the Nord Lead engine, is not that big.
13:03 -----> end.
This guys a legend. If you can do better, then show us, wind pissers
JEXUS - ave you ever though of selling these patches for each of the instruments you demo.
You could make yourself some cash.
so.. was this recorded in the 70's or what? that video quality..
+TheCleansingx Dude, it's intentional :-) Supposed to be funny. Works for me :-)
@javiceres well,id rather buy a prophet instead off tetr4.
FACE!!
05:50_____!!
You are too good!!! Fantastic demo from a very talented artist A++++
The problem is that the Nord Lead 3 is a piece of crud and you make it sound good!
Heck! you make almost any synth sound good. Another nice demo! Thanks!!
..... 06:25
@javiceres ;P : )
@ChrisVanOz79 : )!!!
__ 13:03 ~
@09fod me too bro
@foamplane
Get over what? How old are you?? You said I quote "the Nord Lead 3 is a piece of crud and you make it sound good!" How is that possible? Are you saying he uses magic??
Obviously the Nord Lead is capable of some great sounds as you openly say 'he' makes it sound good. Also as I said the AlanM trance demo of this synth is superb. Look it up.
So whats the problem with the Nord Lead 3 again? = You!
@theHackerOfMayhem Well, Tetra does not emulate nothing AFAIK...
coming out of retirement?
@kolakube123 Don't recall using the word Pants anywhere........... I did say that the Nord 3 has some very serious deficiencies (ever tried hard syncing the LFO's... Obviously not) and it has other software bugs that they won't or can't fix..... Here's what Jexus himself says about it: "from any demanding musician's point of view, a modern synth that can't do hard-syncing is a F***ING JOKE" QED.. You don't like my or his opinion of it... that's just tough ..... get over it.
@foamplane
Nord lead a piece of crud?? For what genre? Classical?? Certainly not for any form of EDM. For Trance id say its even better than my Alesis Andromeda.
Most of the time if a synth is crud, its not the synth its the operator. You said yourself Jexus makes it sound great so you have to ask yourself why 'you' cant.
(Give you a tip, have a look in the mirror.)
No offence, just saying.
@TolloBanan I'm terribly sorry to break this to you, but if you can't get great sounds out of the NL3, you are the piece of **** here, OR, its simply not a synth for you, different synths have different sounds and if the NL3 doesn't appeal to you, don't buy it, simple as that. I for one think the NL3 is extraordinary at what it does, but it certainly isn't a do-it-all synth, nor is any of the Clavias, they are performance instruments ment for live jams first hand.
MAKE NEW SONGS
I think you're missing the point...
i normally like your videos and demos, however this one in particular is not so, especially with a great synth like the Nord Lead 3. For one I don't feel you've shows its potential, and second the sounds used are too distorted, not sure if this synth's great capabilities fall into that "niche". Thanks anyway, keep up the good work.
@kolakube123 That's really funny.. LOL ROFL.. :-) you have no idea who you're hurling personal insults at.
IMHO the Nord 3 has some very serious deficiencies and software bugs. Whether you like that or not. Sounds more to me like you bought one, and are now trying to justify it to yourself. Better than an Andromeda, NO WAY. I'm happy to swap you any of the Nord Leads for your Andromeda, any time you like. Sounds more like you can't cope with the programming complexity of the Andromeda.
@foamplane
Stick to the point!! You said it was a piece of crud yet you then go on to say Jexus can make it sound great? Are you that arrogant you can not see the problem with that statement?
Oh and by the way, your immaturity. Your first post. "You have no idea who your hurling insults at" Please tell me who, mr maturity? Your channel reveals a DIY buff?? And saying stupid things like "NUFF SAID" all in caps, I mean come on man!
THE PROBLEM IS YOU NOT THE NORD LEAD 3!
Test music by ear , not by your hand , please !
I've encountered this 'synth' and could not find any point of correlation between all the hype and the real sound.. perhaps it's just me.. it may have superb interface, zounds of modulations, but it simply did not appeal to me despite hard-time tweaking and stuff..
I say this only to leave what's entriely yours... you got some quite decent stuff out off this Swedish piece of.****.
@narki86 Well, I'd rather go with the latter... I did not mean to offend anyone should that person fall for NL3. As I put it, I could not find the correlation price-fun myself, but that does not necessarily mean it's worthless.. I surely would not buy it, since the synth is not tailored to sound the way I like, or cost the money I'd pay for its capabilities. I might have got decent or even great sounds out of it, which then would prove I'm not the piece of ****. I just did not like them, period
@kolakube123 Clearly older then you....... What's the problem with the Nord Lead 3...It's an over priced, over hyped synth, with some serious software deficiencies and bugs. The fact that it CAN sound good, is quite irrelevant to that. There are instruments that do a better job for less money.
You need to learn that not everybody in this world is going to agree with your opinion and that insulting people when they don't agree with you is hardly likely to change their opinion. NUFF SAID!
surfacing / drowning / soo goood
@foamplane
No its you who cant cope. You say how pants the Nord Lead 3 is yet say how good it sounds on this video which sort of points to your own inadequacies.
And I wasn't insulting you.I was pointing out a fact often it isn't the instrument its the person behind it.
Have a listen to the Alan Mercero trance demo of the NL3 and tell me this isn't a capable machine.
