seriously... I want Kermit to have a role in a serious movie, with no mention to the fact he's a frog or a muppet. XD
I mean, the whole idea is that they are working actors.
He had a walk on cameo in Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Imporium if that counts lol
"I'm an Amphibian-American and proud of it."
I love this because it's so honest and real. At no point in the interview did I think of Kermit as just a muppet. I felt as if he in fact actually exist. Now that's what I would call real magic :)
Kermit sounds so emotional when he's talking about Jim
As a 37 year old man I still LOVE this frog. Thank you Mr. Henson for being part of my childhood. RIP
I love how u can actually forget that it’s a muppet. His facial expressions and delivery of sarcasm is excellent. Kermit will always be the best
The "new Kermit" actually isn't that NEW. Steve Whitmire has been performing Kermit since 1990, so that's 22 years.
He was indeed. Chosen by Jim Henson (God bless him), to carry on after Henson died.
imagine life without the muppets. it would be horrible
Kermit, such an unassuming figure, who became the leader of the Muppets and a wonderful entertainer. I asked someone one time how the little weak chinned, Muppet did it and they said something profound but true, Kermit is pure Love. The rest of the Muppets are great characters with quirks and personalities but Kermit is the leader because you get a sense he cared, he was pure & very humble. That was the magic of Henson and what he put into him. I people the most with those same traits too.
"I am an Amphibian American and proud of it." LOL, love it.
kermit is just the best. he's been around for a long while, and hopefully he's around for a good long while yet. he's one of the very few things that can always make me laugh.
At 7:52 I just couldn't stop laughing. I don't know if that was scripted or on-the-spot but the dormant face and sound was just too funny.
RIP JIM HENSON :(
I'm 45 yrs old and I still look at Kermit like when I was a kid. Timeless... Thanks Jim
How’s it feel to be In your mid 50s now kid?
This is seriously one of the best celebrity interviews I have ever seen. Loved the sincerity from both George and Kermit. Great questions and answers, and good eye contact too!
Kermit really is the greatest performer. Even as just a piece of cloth and pingpong balls, the character and personality that cones through is amazing.
I don't like frogs but this frog ids the most lovable in muppets world industry :))
"amphibian-American" LOL
Those facial expressions he does are just epic!!!
I actually had the great opportunity of meeting Kermit hes one of the finest individuals I've ever met really.
I looooove how the interviewer really gets into it and really believes he is speaking to kermit. He is so much into it you can see it in his eyes especially at the end.
Its funny how Kermits like "[Jim Henson] he was always around, and I have no idea what he did.." Lol :)
- Is there any role that you turned down that you wish you hadn't turned down?
- Yeah, Yoda.
How can u not love Kermit he is the best frog in the world XD
7:54 is the funniest thing I have ever seen Kermit do.
The weird thing is, I watched this entire interview with rapt attention and took it all seriously.
Not weird at all.
It was quite a few years ago now but I heard a radio interview with Kermit. He was asked what he was like when he was younger. He said, 'Awww, I was a tadpole.' That was so typical of him.
"Hey, dad, I'm attracted to mammals."
If I ever become a billionaire, I will hire Steve Whitmire to live in my house and work Kermit 24/7 so he could be my roommate. True story.
Kermit turned down the part of Yoda, Huge lol
This is the best muppet interview I've seen so far from the promotion of this movie.
No matter how often you watch anything to do with Kermit and co,you just can't help but laugh and as Jim Henson would say, when you watch Kermit, you're not listening to Jim Henson, playing Kermit, you are watching Kermit as Jim H took on that personna.........genius,pure and mind blowingly simple genius
Amen! I couldn't have said it better myself! Jim Henson was/is not only a genius but A MASTER! A MUPPET MASTER! I know in my logical mind Kermit is not real but you genuinely forget because of Jim Henson and his mastery! A clear example of this is to watch and episode of Arsenio Hall. 2 weeks before he died. Arsenio was such entranced! That's the "magic!". May THE MASTER rest in peace. I do miss him!
Kermit is a great interviewiee. RIP Jim Henson! I love the Muppets Movie. The Muppet Show and the Muppet movies. He's a great host! Go Kermit! Congrats Kermit!
One thing I really liked about this interview was there weren't overly drawn out laugh breaks. Most host shows get too carried away with the laugh pauses.
oh good god how much did i LOVE george's reaction to the Charlie Sheen joke!
Hilarious interview!! XD
Thanks for putting this up!
Kermit is so kind, inteligent and sensitive. I would date him!!!
Kermit is my most favorite muppet of all time!
This was so awesome!
You know, what I find funny is when Kermit talks about the Alice Cooper episode, that was actually the first episode that Steve Whitmire performed in, even though he wasn't Kermit yet.
I love me some Kermit! Lovely interview!
R.I.P., Jim Henson - Kermit's creator & original voice.
No matter how puppet like he is, Kermit the Frog will always be real to me
Love Kermie!!! Such A cute Interview
One dislike?! Who would click the dislike button? Must have been a mistake...
Kermit is one of my favorite Sesame street characters. Along with Bert, Ernie, Cookie monster, Mr Hooper, Gordon and Oscar.
TheKornstalker sesame street characters? HE IS A MUPPET
That was awesome!
I love it. He always was my favorite Amphibian in the show :)
I love how kermit is his own person! I mean we dont care that hes a puppet, he is like an actual live actor.
The bit about having to call Fozzy for reunion movies is great 3:35, but the best his reaction to being asked what he thinks of Fozzy's jokes.
I got to met Steve Whitmire, and he is the kindest man i’ve ever met. Honest to god. :D
the yeiiiiiii made me so HAPPY :D
Strombo is still one of the best interviewers.
Funny thing is that frank oz, who voiced fozzy and countless others, also did the voice of yoda.
That was one heartfelt intro for Kermit.
Love him! Please put them on TV. My kids would love them just as much as My family did oh so many years ago.
I love this do much. The muppets are so amazing. this keeps getting better tho.
Go Kermit. I have always loved watching Sesame Street and the Muppet Show. My favs are Kermit, Fozzie, Oscar the Grouch, Miss Piggy, Statler and Waldorf, Sweedish Chef and Elmo
I believe they mentioned Ozzy's encounter with Kermit on an episode of The Osbournes.
Kermit I'm sure Jim Henson is thrilled you you and The Muppets are still going strong after all these years. RIP Jim.
Oh my god, this was absolutely delightful
how can someone not love kermit, even better kermit and strombo together
He's not a puppet, he's a muppet!
Steve Whitmire's Kermit the Frog voice IS REALLY AMAZING BUT nobody could ever beat Jim Henson's Kermit the Frog voice
Loved Kermit the frog LoL
Damn How I miss that show, it was the best thing on tv through all my childhood... Gonna takes my kids to the movies and see their movie, looking forward to it.
My hero
Always loved kermit! Still do!
I like how George speaks to and looks directly at Kermit as if he were real... well, I guess he is. =D
"YAAAAAAAY!" OH my god; the BEST.
Kermit is perfect!!!
Naturally Kermit would work for years with Jim Henson after all he created the Muppets and for years was Kermit's voice originally
Oh, please God, let there be another Muppet show!
ahahaha, the expressions on his face!
This is really great.. 😇 Kermit is really neat, as well as superbly unique and inspiring.. 😇
MY Pal
Amphibian American LOL
This was SO funny!

First time I heard the new Kermit. You only notice the difference if you want to. Awesome :)
Kermit said the yoga was good for him so hopefully he'll be around to entertain our grandchildren.
Yaaaaaaaaaay!
I love when he makes things into a civil rights issue, yes I am green, and proud of it
we all think your awsome kermit

Actors Ray Ramano & Harold Raimus sound like Kermit

II've seen the movie three times! Oh god I hope they bring the Muppet show back!

Kermit and Aldo constantine are adorableeee
Hes a real speaking Frog! no Puppet! pff ...your the puppet!
Kermit is better than Yoda, and I love Star Wars.
