when a cutscene plays, that usually means that the ghost involved in the cutscene is now in that room. when you see a cutscene, turn on the device and ask that ghost about what happened. hopefully, after that, you can make a connection with an item that you have seen in one of the rooms. if you can’t make a connection yet, you are most likely missing an item, in which case the scrying mirror becomes useful. use the mirror to see where that item is.
*important note*
pay attention to the cutscene that plays after you make a connection or ask about a scenario. it will most likely tell you where to go next. remember to use the device and the compass regularly. the ghosts will tell you what you need to know.
a certain amount of time elapses before jimmy spawns into the floor you’re on. use this time to your advantage. (i’d say it’s about 45-60 seconds)
