This DIY was inspired by all of your requests!! I wore a grey sweatshirt with a neon lace up front and everyone asked for a DIY on it.
It is a very similar technique to the 49ers sweatshirt in my GAME DAY OUTFITS VIDEO - • DIY- Cute GAME DAY Out...
That video has the no-sew version and in this video you will see the sewing tutorial.
It's. very easy technique no matter your skill level.

You can also buy a grommet punches and individual grommets so you can do custom distances from each grommet! Great video love the look of the T-shirt the best!

Very cute! The second look with the neon green looked very sporty. It would look cool if there was some mesh behind the lace too.
Or if instead of down the front you did it down the sleeves. So many options!

I bought this shoelace looking product from A.C Moores to fix a jean dress that is a size 20 to fit me a size 5 after watching diys to create unique distressed jeans with jewelry. I have a ton of it leftover now I can use it. reading the comments and reading zipper foot made me think about how I want to diy jeans with the back zipper. I also want to make jeggings that are half jean and half faux leather I grew up wearing them and googled and seen that they are selling for 300 an air and arent that flattering as a jegging would be.
ok but for real though, your modelling music is always on POINTE! =D

i think for those that dont want to show too much in where the lacing is, they can also sew in a panel of lace or contrasting fabric when adding the grommet or d-ring at the same time. so less bulk instead of layering over a tank or tee to hide a bra if needed. i could see either with a fun plaid or rock tee behind the lacings. cheer!!!

So I just found your channel and super excited, your DIY stuff is super cute and can't wait to get started trying to figure out my own lane. The one question I do have is where do you find your Grommet Tape and D-ring Tape or trim?
I have ideas to make the opening up the side of my shirt....
Awesome idea. I also got more ideas from looking at this technique. I was thinking about the way people cut out wedges on the side to upsize jeans. I could do this and adjust accordingly. Also I could do this on the side of a shirt/jacket/vest. Be super cute in front, back and sides. 😉 Thank you so much for this idea. 😘

It's a zipper foot. I had actually realised that they were both the same concept, but great video none-the-less.

Can you do revamped dress shirts? Not sure if that's your style or not but I'd love to see your take on it. and what the best way to do it. I've seen where they take a V cut out of the back or even taking off the back panel and replaced it with accenting fabric like lace.

i'm a muslim so this isn't really appropriate for me but i think i'll do this on the sleeves of my sweaters and stuff!!!!!!!
Yes or you could totally apply the twill tape right on top of the sweatshirt without cutting anything out!
Just that Hufflepuff the sleeves would be hottt
You could wear a tank top or similar underneath.

If you wanted, you could do that down the back of the sweater or t-shirt if you wanted it to be a little sexier. The "v" could be wider or longer, and instead of bright colored laces, you could use leather cording or heck, even crystal trim and have it draped across from one side to the next. I was thinking that could be a neat way to wear something a little different to a holiday party. I'd love to see you try it just so I know if that made any sense or not! LOL
