I’ve just got a 05 savage 650 , it was someone’s bobber project they stopped on , needed a tank and the carb fixed but for her running today ! Such an awesome engine , love the noise it makes , something a bit odd sounding through , does everyone have the timing chain problem?
Food for thought that at $750 buy-in for a bike that's worth twice that gives you a lotta money you can "dump" without going under water, IMHO. BTW, you should think about naming your bike "Chameleon" given all the color changes! LOL Welcome back and don't be a stranger!
Hey , did you have to get wires for the throttle when you bought the ape hangers? Did you have to cut and extend the wires for the starter switch. I like your bike a lot , wanna make mine to look as cool as yours
I did have to get a throttle cable and clutch cable from the Savage years, which had the bullhorn bars. The control cables for the electronic stuff were plenty long enough.
I've got 2009 myself it's my first bike, been riding for 2 years, and I love every minute of it. I was wondering if you have any more details of your windscreen, maybe a link of some sort. Thanks for posting.
@jonathanpagano1595 the only thing I wish it had was a fuel gage other then that it’s a very basic bike to learn on, no bells and whistles. Belt drive is nice low maintenance with that, get on and just enjoy the ride,
Amazing bike, ls650 is really a tractor!
Just found your channel today, perfect timing! I’m looking at a 2009 ls650

Where is a good site to find upgrades or mods? I’m having a hard time finding anything.
I'd love to put together a site specifically for upgrades and mods hopefully in the future.
@@thumperlife837yes please do because I’m trying to work on mine and it’s truly impossible to find anything with wild.

I’m looking at one for my first bike. I hear great things about it
@@jonathanpagano1595great first time bike.
@@swm055 the one I’m looking at is a 2009 with just under 10,000 miles. Anything I should know or consider before looking at it?

I usually stop every 100 miles to top up the tank with fuel.
