Great! I did not need to hear this , I go through binge drinking then sobering up , for a while now. But the last two episodes of stoping I’m finding that it taken more days to get over the withdrawals. Even though I am drinking even less than before

Can vouch, Kindling effect is 100% real. I've been through withdrawal possibly hundreds of times, sober for 2 years now. But the last time? I was reducing slowly over a period of months, but there cane a day when i would instantly vomit up anything that went in. I couldn't drink my units and went into withdrawal. Ripped my GI tract from puking so hard and started puking this black smelly stuff (blood? i never did find out). On day 2 I had the worst seizure of my life (my sixth one) and was taken to hospital. I lost the ability to talk and walk. Had an endoscopy to fix the ripped GI tract and was medically detoxed for about 5 days then released. I worried it wasn't enough time to detox from years of 40+units per day, but they let me go. I could walk by this time but my speech was half way there. Then i had another seizure out of nowhere, while i was cooking dinner, dragged a pan of boiling water down and got 3rd degree burns all up my forearm requiring surgery. it's still severely scarred.

I've had the shakes so many times I can't count. It's been decades since I had withdrawal, and I have cut back extremely. I have dropped from abusing alcohol, to one drink once in a while. I had no idea the shakes were this was dangerous
