Kind of odd how this was awarded outside and not as part of the awards show itself.
I know, they always find ways to slight Caitlyn, but she's only gonna get better because of their nonsense, the way they treat Caitlyn is demonic. It's sad because she is the ideal role model, great but remains humble, what's not to like? unless you are woke, racist, or into the DEI crap

This was a no-brainer. No college athlete had more impact or broke scoring records like Caitlin Clark.

Parker Valby from Florida won 5 national championships in one year, made the Olympic Team and I think set 3 national records. So yes, she was vastly more accomplished than Clark (2 records, zero championships) but she's a junior and maybe you have to be senior?

Caitlin has that sweet girl next door look. Yet, when she steps on to the court, has been fearfully ballin since college transitioning to the WNBA. Well spoken and thank goodness no tattoos, particularly in these days. Caitlin is definitely someone to look up to, especially for kids growing up. I have to give a shout out to Lexi Hull. She is a defensive specialist out there for the Fever. Furthermore, she can also hit the threes. Lexi reminds me of a Scottie Pippen

It’s unfortunate that because of her race Caitlin can’t be as celebrated for her very great performance. This back to the dark ages stuff where we hate on or get disappointed because someone who won an award isn’t the race you desire when the whole award show is full of black winners is insane especially since there is literally NO representation for indigenous, Asian or Hispanic people in sport.
When an outsider dominates a sport people react and love it.
They did when Serena dominated tennis, when tiger woods dominated golf, when Simone biles dominated gymnastics.
It seems it’s only ok to feel energized about an outsider is when it’s a black athlete breaking into traditional white sports history.
Basketball is a traditional white sport dominated by black people but now any white person who does well is treated unfairly by black people and it’s not doing the community justice to be this way about outsiders.

They just seem more matter of fact about her success and less tempted to provide slightly diminishing takes/responses. I've been disappointed in ESPN by and large. They vibe agenda to me . . .

Clark's is pulling double-doubles from different categories (pts/rebs AND pts/assists), AND she has a triple-double (and was one reb away from having two) in her rookie season. All this on top of leading the rookies in total points AND leading all of the league in total attributable points (pts and pts from assists). She also leads the rookies in 3-pts made, FT made, FT %, Assists, Steals, and efficiency (as I write this). And yes, she leads in TOs, but that doesn't undo everything else. She's also just fun to watch (which is why millions more are tuning in and showing up to watch her play). 16 more games to go in regular season play.
