same. at first i thought the album was good to jam to and everything but after that article...now it holds more significance to me because i know the emotion behind it. i'm really glad lean's doing better now.
a very dear friend of mine shot himself last year after a battle with addiction. im a hooper and dancing to this song releases the festering tightness in my chest. he passed away a month after it had been a year since my other friends suicide. if you’re reading this i want you to stop what you’re doing, take a deep breath, and have a small moment to embrace yourself. embrace the cute little things about you that you believe go unnoticed. embrace your silliness. embrace your anger. embrace it all. because you deserve to feel loved. because you ARE love. please stay.

This song made me cry several times when I set the volume high and sang along. It's like I felt his pain in some ways, probably his most emotional song. The feeling when you realize you're on the verge of life and death. It's a song about self-destruction which you don't think you're capable of stopping. I can imagine many have felt that way. Very dark, emotional, yet so poetical and beautiful. I'm glad Lean survived, be he blessed.
@@naanbread4523 Yeah, I said it as more of an ironic "gatekeeping" men wearing dresses. I don't really care personally - just found it funny that people were acting like it was revolutionary
men wearing dresses in the performance art is a form of humiliation and reversal of normalcy. It's not something that is a good sign that someone is wearing a dress. He is not wearing the dress because he came up with the idea, he's wearing it because someone or something told him to wear it in order to become more successful musically, all in the pursuit of wealth
@@salty6176 it's because Lean stopped drugs. There is so many artists who take drugs - it shows how much it can help their music. When they come off it, it can be hard to get the rhythm or creativity back. Lean is my Goat - but it's better he is off drugs than complaining of music after it.
I had a dream with this song playing when I was at my lowest points in life. I was there with every friend and family member I love dearly at my elementary school yard. I think it was some kind of event to celebrate me coming out of that place, everyone in my life welcoming me back. I'll never forget that dream. Thank you for being such an integral part of my life Lean.
This song saved me after I was stuck in a hospital in Japan in 2020. I came abroad for studying and was hit by car. Needed a surgery and spent about 3 months in a rehabilitation center, alone and away from family cos flights were not allowed due to pandemic. Japanese doctors were extremely kind and supportive, but sometimes I was really depressed cos I was not able to walk and had to learn how to do it at the age of 20 while staying completely alone in a far away foreign country. The horror of the traffic accident has just started getting to me at that time and such trauma often leaves a horrible mix of a will to live and gratitude for surviving wth a huge fear of life and panic. Since I started walking again, I went outside my Japanese apartment every night to sit at the swing and listened to this song 10 times in a row. Every night. It helped me to survive and release these emotions. And while I was swinging, I felt I could fly.
When i wanna send myself off the roof or smash my head against a wall this song is like a lightning rod for me. Just absorbs a tiny piece of your despair and it gets better suddenly. Takes me back to 2016. 26 years old living in Orange County CA, drinking a bottle of whiskey a day, depressed and broken… I used to cry to this song. I’m 33 now and sober. listening to this song still gives me chills…yung lean got me through hard times..
I got back into yung lean recently and I remember reading that article about him losing his friend and getting really fucked up with depression. My coworker/friend came into work last Tuesday and shot himself in his car in our parking lot. I tried to talk to him because I knew he was in a dark place. I wish I could have done more. It really puts you in a bad place and puts life in perspective. Love you yung lean.
I had a coworker who i saw she was having a real bad night but couldnt talk much since i had to work but i told her to go home and relax when she gets off, come to find out she went home and relaxed all right relaxed with an over dosed of heroin.
That's really crazy man. I never had anything like that happen, but I have lost friends. It's even worse in some ways, because you talked to someone every day and then you find out they died. One of them was by his own hand and the other one just died suddenly. Times like that make you realize that death is very very real and close to you.

Considering how aesthetically pleasing this video is, how well it goes with Lean's past and how raw and touching this song is, I honestly consider this kind of a masterpiece in a way.
My sons educated me about this young artist and his music makes everything in life feeling better, I've never experienced anything like that with any other music - and I've listened to a lot of music. I didn't know much about this kind of music before except Eminem 🤦🏻♂️ Of course more too, but the names of those is gone.. I remember this song "You talk to much" by RUN DMC 😜 I love that song😊
To me, what stands out the most in this video is lean in many different outfits (as well as silver skin). I feel each outfit, like the dress, is his attempt to be beautiful, to himself, to others. I've recently tried to be someone I thought I wanted to be, wanted others to see me and want me a certain way. But it led to anxiety, frustration, and an inability to deliver the expectations I had promised to both myself and others. I had fear that I could not keep up the appearance I had created. I had a breakdown. Felt like a bad trip. Felt better after some sleep and talking to a good friend; after some healing. Now, onto the next outfit. Lean's digging a hole, sometimes with a caged canary because of fear of something dangerous and life threatening happening while trying to uncover something. And indeed, life is dangerous when I try to dig up some meaning, find something, to look for truth and happiness - chasing goals, making decisions that significantly affect the course of my life for better or for worse. The drugs I do, the adrenaline from driving too fast, the sexual encounters engaged, people I choose to love, other exposures I undergo to feel alive as I dig my hole, continue my search, the clothes I wear: the way I want to be. And undoubtedly I get hurt along the way. And that requires times of healing. But that doesn't stop Lean from going back out, now with silver skin, with no more canary; no more fear of dying while trying, to keep digging.
Listend to this song on repeat during one of the worst periods of my life. Looking back now 2 years later this song reminds me to keep at it and dont slip up.
yung lean took drugs and thought in his trip that all his music is gone so he called his manager. Told him to bring it to him to miami because he goes crazy. So he drove to him to miami and get killed in a car crash. Yung Lean = mental wreck. There are more bg informations but who cares.. rip
Ummm not really...They were all already in Miami and his crew went back to Sweden but he stayed. He mixed Cocaine, lean, weed and xanax everyday and he went insane,he was hearing voices which caused him to end up in a hospital where he called his manager to bring him something and his manager died on the way to the hospital. He then spent a few months living in the woods, isolated from everybody,so he can recover. He created multiple personalities and danced with his furniture. He was in a pretty fucked up state but I think he is better now.
This will forever be the most emotional song for me and I’m so glad to have heard this live. I would do anything to hear it live again and just let go of everything and cry like crazy
He basically was addicted to cocaine, xanax, lean, weed while he was in Miami and became crazy and was dressing as a nurse. Then he and a couple of his friends were driving and they crashed and one of them died while on xanax and yung lean ended up in a mental hospital and then he came to live in a small cabin in the woods in sweden for isolation and become clean (which is the house showcased in the video) and he is basically reflecting the things that happened in Miami in this video.
The fact that this is the last image of the last song of the album has such much meaning in it. The whole album is about struggling and stuff and it ends with his funeral where he digs his own grave. He gave us a sign that many (including me) only just now come to understand with the noisey doc!! He’s an incredible artist fr
This to me says 'Sane, insane, or in rehab, beautiful and alive, or dead inside, we're just a bird in a cage and we're all digging our own grave'. S a d..
Yung lean always makes me feel a type of way when I listen to his music either happy or sad, when I turned on this song just now I received an overwhelming feeling of sadness and nostalgia at the same time. Shout out to leandore is all I can say such an under rated artist regardless of the amount of views he gets this man should be more recognized
@@living4adrenaline im pretty sure lean was getting taken to a mental hospital and his friend that was driving their got into an accident and died, in this video lean is digging a grave, its either for his friend or lean himself because when he was on drugs he was crazy and knew he needed help
Inbetween feeling like Im on top of the world or feeling like trash on the sidewalk this song does something. Ive fallen short in about everything Ive done and this song gives me inspiration to move forward. Though this song can be very dangerous too if listened to in the wrong mind. +memestar this is wrong even by the standard definition, but ultras are hooligans too, I've only heard it to describe Russian football hooligans but they probably use it in Northern Europe too
c Yeah that was what I was thinking when I wrote the comment

Idc what y'all say, this might be Lean's best work ever.

RIP Barron Machat

Considering how aesthetically pleasing this video is, how well it goes with Lean's past and how raw and touching this song is, I honestly consider this kind of a masterpiece in a way.
Ever since the documentary his music has a different meaning for ne
Same, even though i already knew about everything that happened, the videos & interviews put it all into a whole new perspective
Damn people really need a whole lot of context and backstory to get into shit?
@UCDe2_ll-g6TJ2rWmmdJuM2Q bro what? Fuck off
My sons educated me about this young artist and his music makes everything in life feeling better, I've never experienced anything like that with any other music - and I've listened to a lot of music. I didn't know much about this kind of music before except Eminem 🤦🏻♂️ Of course more too, but the names of those is gone.. I remember this song "You talk to much" by RUN DMC 😜 I love that song😊
makes me so happy to know some sons turned their mother onto some MAGNIFICENT music

It's been 7 years and I still come back here, sit and listen. Thank you for sharing this part of yourself.
I feel like half of the kids commenting "he sucks at digging" have no idea how heavy this song really is to lean

Have you ever watched the people vs yung lean? I think after he addressed it and made a joke about it himself, more people jumped on it as a joke
A movie on his life would be crazy :)
edit 27th of november 2020 : I forgot about this comment and just saw it a few days ago, wow! love yall guys
Electrik CSGO HD FUN ! I dont wanna see him die inside over and over again.
His beautiful life has just begun. We must wait a long time for a biopic
sad
I’d paid 1,000 dollars just to watch that movie 🐐
It would be a short movie.
Still listening to this masterpiece. never gets lame.
Listend to this song on repeat during one of the worst periods of my life. Looking back now 2 years later this song reminds me to keep at it and dont slip up.
Ever since I read that article, I've looked at lean at a completely different point of view
Same man
what article? best,M
Yea what article
yung lean took drugs and thought in his trip that all his music is gone so he called his manager.
Next level of sadness :'(
This will forever be the most emotional song for me and I’m so glad to have heard this live. I would do anything to hear it live again and just let go of everything and cry like crazy
Lean is really a legend. There is no other artist that can turn pain in such beautiful art.
your new songs made me a sad boy
+TacticalNUKE Then you gotta be rly sad cuz his new shits suck.
+TacticalNUKE This sad boy meme died in 2013, you can stop now.

I finally understand what this video was about...
I know, the fader so wow. Im speechless
same
please explain ?

I dont think so. Barran was alive when they recorded it. Theres also a deluxe album with kinda happy songs in it. Roses tho is about barran
This to me says 'Sane, insane, or in rehab, beautiful and alive, or dead inside, we're just a bird in a cage and we're all digging our own grave'. S a d..
Very good worl

Yung lean always makes me feel a type of way when I listen to his music either happy or sad, when I turned on this song just now I received an overwhelming feeling of sadness and nostalgia at the same time. Shout out to leandore is all I can say such an under rated artist regardless of the amount of views he gets this man should be more recognized
People wouldn’t understand this song if they don’t know the backstory, its sad
true
whats the backstory
@@living4adrenaline im pretty sure lean was getting taken to a mental hospital and his friend that was driving their got into an accident and died, in this video lean is digging a grave, its either for his friend or lean himself because when he was on drugs he was crazy and knew he needed help

This song pulls some strings that I cannot even explain
Inbetween feeling like Im on top of the world or feeling like trash on the sidewalk this song does something. Ive fallen short in about everything Ive done and this song gives me inspiration to move forward. Though this song can be very dangerous too if listened to in the wrong mind. Yung lean youve saved so many people and I hope you make more personal tracks like this that people can feel and jam out to. Love.
Krokodil is a hell of a drug
why is everyone talking about krokodil in leans vids? I hope he didnt take that shit
+Alex Haldane if he did he'd look like a fuckin skeleton, we just like to troll from time to time, all jokes aside, this guy makes good fuckin music, however the fans do feel like he is going downhill, he is on alot of pills n shit

You will die if you do Krokodil...
He's not even using the proper shoveling technique. Savage.
lol
what's savage about that?
***** you guessed wrong
easy to not know how to use a shovel when you've probably never even had to do yard work.
Pretty damn hard to work a shovel when you're tripping shit on Hydros and Acid
this song still gives me shivers to this day, the sheer amount of raw emotion lean conveys is hard to come by in music these days. An absolute masterpeice, rip Barron Machat.
You can feel the anguish from the beat, the delivery of his vocals (that he did outside at a pier in Miami) perfect song to vibe too if you’re feeling helpess
his friend also died in miami rip barron

you Inspire a lot of people yung lean, you're very creative and unique, thank you for creating this beautiful music. Hope you and your fam/team are thriving & prospering much love!
God damnit. I feel like crying now. J remember when this album came out 'i miss the old lean blah blah blah" and now even this era is nostalgic. Yung Lean you really impacted a lot of people, more than most of us can ever hope for.
That's me digging through 2016
love this song, love the meaning behind it for yung lean I also have such a connection to it listing to this in a point in my life when it first came out and it crazy how life can change for the good i have come so far since then which can also bring more problems but that life :)
This song is from the future. Lean is so ahead of his time. Bless him
that “ahead from future” take is so false.
leandoer creates the future, pioneers, not just being ahead of it
I remember when I was younger, back in 2016. I always played pokemon fire red / emerald listening to yung Lean, today I feel a huge nostalgia for his songs
I rarely get chills, especially from music, but when this song comes on on shuffle (like I'm not expecting it) I get crazy chills every time
He's trying to tell us that he's tired of his persona and wants to change. The bird trapped in the cage is an example.
+Reesey R But why is he digging his own grave?
+Teddy Bear he's tired of everything
still tear up to this one to this day ... grateful I'm still here
Remember that, this is forever.
this song is what I often feel inside. just the sound. i've never heard myself so clearly before
