You are such a joy to spend time with!! Thank you for the WIP parade. It's a pleasure to see the variety of work and the joy of color! There are things that every stitcher can dip in to!
I LOVED seeing your wips, Grace! Your progress on SDW is gorgeous already! It made me go right to Scarlet Letter to buy! I remember your Hoity Toity but not the rest of your Long Dogs, they are wonderful! I am glad I showed you mine. I think you could stitch a few clouds, skip the entire blue sky and your Hawaii piece is frameable. A fabulous video! Thank you again for hosting us and your kind words. You’re the best ⭐️💚❤️💙
My daughter recommended your flosstube and you did not disappoint! All I can say is Wow! All your projects are stunning and matching my taste! Keep them coming!
Grace!!! I have SO MANY of these same patterns and you just ignited a burning passion in my belly to STITCH!!! STITCH!!! STITCH!!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful stitching! XOXO Heidi
WOW! Strike up the BIG BAND for a spectacular WIP parade! I loved every minute… watching it for third time. Thank you for sharing all of your beautiful projects. STITCH ON!
Oh my word...love the colors on the chalkboard fabric, the added reds are stunning....then the sdw band sampler!!!! You are blowing my mind! So lovely ..... Take care
I am glad I found you. Beautiful needlework. I like the pace of your speech. I find it easy to stitch and lookup to peek at the screen without losing my spot of stitching. Great pace!!!!!
1983 ❤ a very good year 😊 Congratulations on your 3 beautiful finishes absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your beautiful needlework sampler and another great video. InezArnetta 🌹
Very enjoyable Flosstube, Grace! You have so many gorgeous projects underway. I am particularly smitten with your Long Dog Pandemic, I love your gorgeous color choices, as well as your SOHRH, the two over two on 36 ct make the colors really pop, and also with your Long Dog Descending Order. I also really like your oldest WIP of Waikiki Beach, and I could see you finishing that by stitching two lengths of thread each time you stitch. There is so much done on that one! Thanks for sharing your stitching. Your speaking voice and cadence are perfect.
Love every visit with you!! I kept saying to the screen “I’m so with you Grace, I have more wips begging me to pull them back out than I can count” my only wish is for a few more hands so I could see them all done faster. Very excited that you are going to continue your flosstuber for a day - you did an excellent job and it was soo wonderful to meet Tricia and Karen. I gushed all over that video on my last flosstube. Keep them coming- you’re amazing !!!
Grace, thank you for showing us all of your projects, those 3 finishes are just WOW!! I appreciate the work you’re doing to acquaint us with the “Flosstubers for a Day” - it’s so fun!! And lastly I’m looking forward to your research on the German Saxony samplers - I love the ones you’ve stitched and I know it will be interesting to hear what you’ve found about that region’s samplers of long ago - Thank you again!! ☺️💖
Another wonderful FT! I am always in awe of your choices of charts and your stitching! As my heritage is German, I am especially interested in German samplers and especially the meaning of the motifs! Keep up the great work & enjoy each & every stitch!
This is the first time I have seen your floss tube. I am so impressed by your work. Your choice of patterns is wonderful. I will be going back and watching your other videos.
Idea for your 'Oldest' WIP, finish it like it is. A pillow or frame, it is your history. My oldest piece is a stamped sampler. I was 6, 59 years ago. It is in a frame, the ragged edges showing. It is my very simple, very treasured beginning. I enjoyed your flosstube today.
Oh my, love this video. I love a red house too and you might have missed seeing the Red House Sampler by Brenda Keyes. I’m happily stitching it to commemorate my 50th wedding anniversary. It was supposed to be finished for our 51st this upcoming May, but like you said, I love this pattern. Why am I not stitching it? 😀 Your Pandemic project though. Oh Wow, just oh Wow! The fabric and thread combination is perfection. It looks soooo good. I’m so glad I found your floss tube. Thank you for going to the time and trouble of making videos for us.
Oh Diane! I did not know about The Red House Sampler! ❤️❤️ Thank you for enabling me!! The border, the willow tree, the little animals and of course the red house! Fabulous!! Thank you for watching. And commenting!!!
Oh my! Please pull Euphemia toward the top of the pile! She’s beautiful!! But then, all your WIPs are stunning and have sent me shrieking back to my frame and stitching away madly. ❤
Grace absolutely a phenomenal video with stunning stitching 🤩🥰💞 your three finishes are amazing and will be such raving beauties framed❣️❣️ As for your WIP parade how inspiring…will be watching this again! Happy Easter, happy stitching always…LaNelle 🤗🌷
Hi Grace, What fabulous finishes and projects. I say life is short. Start all the pretties! So enjoy your videos as you know. Thank you for taking time to share all that you learn. Hugs, Teresa
Maybe you could just paint the sky on your 40 year old wip!! 😹. Oh Grace , your finishes are just STUNNING!!! I am so inspired by you and I love your wip parades !!!😻
Grace your finishes had my teeth on the floor!! Absolutely gobsmacked. All of you WIPS are gorgeous and you have me actually considering Mary 395 and Villages of Hawk Run. Well done! I love the idea of flosstuber for a day and can't wait to meet more stitchers through your videos. Happy Easter and happy stitching my friend! 🌷🌷🌷
I'm in LOVE with Jane Hopkins. Such a sucker for HATS patterns & silks. What a beautiful finish. I need to kit that one up immediately - the thumbnail of that piece caught me! Now I'm a subscriber. I have Anne Thomas kitted up & ready to go - that is definitely going to be a start this year.
The number of times I have said, “oh my god!” Every time you unfolded the fabric!!!! Your Pandamic is the farthest progress I have ever seen! By the bay - over one!!! The French one - I might need to buy! Holy cats what an absolute treasure of beautiful things! I love how you love the history of things. Thank you so much for sharing!
wow! Really love your flosstube. And I'm quite enamored with all of the seriously large and intricate pieces you have worked on or are working on. Really impressive. Glad I found you and I'm looking forward to watching your pieces progress.
Beautiful work, Grace! I smiled when you showed your oldest WIP…I was stitching on my oldest WIP which I believe is 29 years old! The Rose Sampler by Butternut Road, and yes, the chart is one very large piece of paper. I will go back and watch your Flosstuber for a Day video.
Grace your video with your friends was fabulous! I really enjoy all that you have shown. Your last one made me go looking & I brought it because I haven't seen any samplers made with horses on them. That was L'Arbre de Vie aux Chevaux. Very excited & have started it. THANK YOU. Happy Easter.❤
Happy Easter! Well I love your "old" WIP.....you know you could just paint the blue in 😂 it would be a multi media piece. I love all your big beautiful pieces, just gorgeous. Love you
Hello from a new subscriber from 🇨🇦. Thank you for the fabulous WIP parade. You have so many beautiful samplers! You have enabled me to start another sampler very soon.
Oh! This was awesome! ❤ We have many of the same WIPS. After seeing Lisa Kretz’s FFO of Rachel Howells, I’ve decided to start over. She also used Dirty Teacup and I love it! You have so many beautifully stitched WIPS Grace! 😍
Hi Grace, this was an awesome collection of WIPS, not to mention those STUNNING finishes!! 😍 I have your last video with Trisha and Karen earmarked for a watch in the very near future, I’m looking forward to it! Happy stitching! -Leah Noel
First time viewer. Beautiful finishes!!! I'm sure you can find someone to adopt your Waikiki project and they will be delighted to just do fill in--great project for a car trip. Thank you for sharing!
Congratulations on your three (!) finishes. You also have some amazing--and massive--WIPs. Can't wait to watch them take shape. It's impressive that you actually get those big mamas finished so quickly. (Just a quick note about Grete. Since it's German in origin, I *think* it would pronounced more like Greta (or closer to gray-tuh).) Looking forward to the next "Flosstuber for a Day". The first one was a blast. Take care!
I lost the beginning of my comment. Your projects are amazing. I can't wait to hear about you continuation of the Saxony sampler research. Looking forward to seeing you in Cincinnati in May. Happy stitching. Best, K
Everything is beautiful! I own the Independence Hall Sampler, too! As I was born there, I feel an obligation to stitch it!!! Miss seeing your face. Don’t know when or if I’ll be back to Phoenix. May I’ll see you elsewhere? ❤
The Jane Hopkins is amazing. I do quilting but appreciate all the time and effort it takes to get from start to finish. Few floss tubers include/share the cost of these. Could you estimate in the future perhaps? I assume it's on par with a good quality quilt kit, depending on materials, and availability. Maybe its for safety reasons many don't share.... don't ask, don't tell..🤣 Who needs to know the budget was blown again...
This is probably true for quilting, too. It depends on the linen, cotton or silk thread and the pattern. It can easily be $100-$200, more if you are using a larger piece of linen and more silk threads.
A suggestion: wet Waikiki and only dip the top half in a shallow tray. Hang upside down to drip dry, then iron. I never do a background if I can dye it... You could test strips of leftover scraps and play with blues and perhapsome some orange and yellow in different applications. Again, try test strips first or apply dye with an eye dropper.
I love your fearlessness in tackling large projects! Hannah Sanderson is high on my bucket list and I may need to make a call to the attic to kit her! So much to love! Looking forward to your next interview!
Beautiful WIP parade ❤ I think I have almost all of them started too 😂😂 Except Hawk Run Hollows House, Villages, Shores, Map, Christmas….because I already stitched them all 😂😂. I also attracted to BAP. Love me a big girl. What about Ann Grimshaw ? Get yourself a big girl Quaker. 😂😂❤
Thank you! Wow! You’ve completed the Hawk Runs? Amazing!! Ann Grimshaw is a beautiful Quaker. I have stitched the Rose Quaker Sampler and she is gorgeous! So happy to hear I am not the only BAP girl.
I almost choked on my apple with laughter when I saw Mr Bean...hysterical!!!! Your oldest WIP could be framed as is. Amazing. Love all your work. I too did the HAT Jane Hopkins 1875 (I almost wrote Jane Austen) and I agree, she is so worth it. Happy Stitching!
I'd be framing that oldest wip just as it is - no one will notice the missing sky as the rest of it is wonderful. The GGR is amazing. I'll have to check out the German samplers.
I’m loving your finish on Jane Hopkins ❤ you inspired me to start her last year and now your beautiful stitching has motivated me to start Anne Thomas tonight 🩷 thank you for showing us your beautiful WIPS, I’m also working on REH1745 because of your flosstube on German samplers last year 🧡
@@paisleystitcher1243 I bought Vanessa Ann Books and I stitched 2 angels facing each other, can’t remember title of piece but still have it and it’s the only proof I’ve ever touched 11 count Aida LOL. Nowadays I primarily stitch 1/1, which I wish I had started in my 30s rather than late 50s LOL. I’m now 62 and hoping to get more large pieces done 1/1 on 32 count 😊. First chart I bought was of course Gloria and Pat LOL. Right now I’m stitching Ann Grimshaw 1/2 on 32 count Poetic Ponyboy by Those Missing Stitches and she lives only 5 miles away 😝. We’re in Northern California, Sacramento region.
@@paisleystitcher1243 my question to you is how did you end up in Hawaii? I was a military brat and landed there with my Army father. Shortly after that my parents divorced and my Korean mother stayed in Hawaii. The shop I went to was in Wahiawa but I’m guessing the shop you went to was Fiddlesticks in Honolulu? I’m presently stitching Ann Grimshaw 1/1 on 32 count 😊
@@angelasawyer6714 I was married to a guy in the navy and he was stationed at Pearl Harbor. I’ve been to the shop in Wahiwa and Fiddlesticks in Honolulu. Hickam Air Force Base had a craft store that carried cross stitch. The pattern of Waikiki I purchased at a hobby store in the mall at Pearl City. How long did you live in Hawaii?
@@paisleystitcher1243 We moved to Hawaii in 1972 and I took a job in CA in 1985 and moved. I can’t believe you actually went to the tiny hole in a wall store I went to! What are the odds! Having lived on an island for 13 years I wondered if I was missing out on being in the mainland and figured it was my chance to see, which is why I moved. Are you still married? We’re leaving for San Diego this Tuesday or Wednesday. I’ve wanted to see the zoo LOL. Are you going to the Bristol retreat?
Wow. I liked every single one of your projects. I also like BAPs, and 46 count. How do you choose what to work on each day? Can't wait to see more progress, good luck.
Thank you for this lovely video. I love your work. I am so jealous! I am most excited to see your leap year start (Lila Studio, Let Freedom Ring). I have been thinking about starting that one for almost a year now but it is so intimidating. I can’t wait to watch your progress. 😁
Thank you Sharon! I’ve had Let Freedom Ring kitted up for a while. Don’t be intimidated. I started in the center and it is actually going quickly, all the block stitching.
@@paisleystitcher1243 I think I might just set a goal of making this a 4th of July start. I am feeling inspired. We shouldn’t let big projects hold us back…I’m working on a big Reflets de Soie right now. What’s one more, right?
@@paisleystitcher1243 Louise Lallier 1901. I loved the donkey and the dog and had to start it for my leap year start. I really like the one you showed in your video too but I don’t have that chart yet. So much out there that I need to buy! Sadly there is not an LNS anywhere near…

I’m loving your finish on Jane Hopkins ❤ you inspired me to start her last year and now your beautiful stitching has motivated me to start Anne Thomas tonight 🩷 thank you for showing us your beautiful WIPS, I’m also working on REH1745 because of your flosstube on German samplers last year 🧡
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoy my channel!!
Fabulous Grace 😊
Congrats on your big, beautiful finishes.
You have some fantastic WIPS .
Can't wait to see more on your next video.
Marilyn
Thank you Marilyn!!
Great eye candy!
Thank you Liz!
What about just putting a sun in the sky of your oldest WIP? Love your artwork!!!
Thank you Jennifer! Maybe adding a sun would encourage me to finish it. Hmmmm….
Nice finishes!
I started cross stitch in 1981 while I was living in Hawaii!! What a coincidence!
That is a coincidence. What did you stitch?
Enjoyed. I’m a new follower and I’ll definitely be back to see more❣️🦉🛎️❤️
Thank you so much!!
Wow. I liked every single one of your projects. I also like BAPs, and 46 count. How do you choose what to work on each day? Can't wait to see more progress, good luck.
Thank you Caroline!!! Love 46 ct!!
Your oldest WIP. Do one thread a day. Leave out in a special spot so it only takes a couple of minutes.
@@sharonbass4673 Which Reflets de Soie are you stitching? Exactly, what is one more BAP?
@@paisleystitcher1243 Louise Lallier 1901. I loved the donkey and the dog and had to start it for my leap year start. I really like the one you showed in your video too but I don’t have that chart yet. So much out there that I need to buy! Sadly there is not an LNS anywhere near…
@@sharonbass4673 Love Louise L.! We don’t really have an LNS nearby. The Attic is about five hours away.
On the old WIP - maybe brush on blue dye?
Ouch…I can’t believe your dog listens that well.
I know, right!? He is just such a good boy. I’ve never had a dog quite like him!!!
I am thinking Grete is pronounced as Greta, not Greet since it’s a Germanic name. It’s a beauty.
Thank you!!! Makes sense.
