Sorry for the reupload. Video glitched out in the previous upload!
ok
Ok
AHA I KNEW IT! no worries tho, we appreciate the effort 🙏
It's ok😉
That explains it. Thanks for the reupload!
"Sorry I can't play in tune, my violin has Covid" is definitely the next excuse I'm pulling out 😂
I laughed way to hard when Brett said that 😅
@@xandraxandra1437 they're both such humorous guys 😄🤩
What about the piano?
@@mukilnarayanan Pianos can't be played out of tune-
Have you ever played an old piano in a bar or something. They are rarely ever tuned properly. You can definitely play the piano out of tune@@ambermao9547
Seeing as Brett’s Happy Farmer sounded like literal farm animals I think we can count that one as a success
Farmer wasn't very happy
@@ambermao9547 animals escaped
@@hi-ew2oxthe animals are dying mice
this is what i sound like when mine is IN tune 😢
They have practiced for about 15 years?? Do not worry, never compare yourself to others!! It will only hold your music and your joy back from being there
5:55- literally just me sightreading anything
@@angrygoose23 lolllll same😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@angrygoose23 Same but worse and I play the piano
lollll sadly
If you can play in tune, then you can play it out of tune
This meme will never get old
I'm new here. What is this joke guys :)
@@iremylmaz2146 watch the video of them reacting to the fastest violinist playing flight of the bumblebee
@@iremylmaz2146 search 'twosetviolin fastest violin player' or something
@@iremylmaz2146See Twoset‘s fastest violinist video. One guy says „If you can play it slowly, you can play it quickly“.
You guys should play with your ears completely covered so you just play by muscle memory and don't hesitate and when you listen back on it you realize the horror you've created
They might sound fine though. If the violins were in tune
@@M_SC I meant like this out of tune lol
Well, we get a taste of it... Technically, Bretts Paganini was muscle memory without pitch😂
That wouldn't be a very interesting video because Brett and Eddy are too good
YESSSS
Happy Farmer turned into Sad Farmer with all their crops and animals dying to famine.
Student: my violin is out of tune
Heifetz: bro stop coping
Skill issue 😂
Eddy never fails to flex his perfect pitch
Right. Though that perfect pitch has no worth if he doesn`t also have autotune with it, in his hand.
@@CsZsoltbros mad
4:57 you don’t have to ask someone if they have perfect pitch; they will tell it to you
I had a music theory professor who didn't tell his students.
He gave it away in one of the very last lessons, because he mentiones something only somebody with perfect pitch would know, so we figured it out. But it wasn't his intention to tell us.
So yes, *most* people with perfect pitch will tell you without being asked. But not every single person ;)
@@1412mariLUWhat did he mention?
@@salomaocabral8816 I don't fully remember.
We were looking at progressions and one student played something at the piano. (This is where my memory isn't clear anymore.) I think the prof said, that it remembers him of a different piece but that this other piece is in a different key. At this point he was sitting across the room and couldn't possibly see what key the student was playing in. We got suspicious and he got a little shy and admitted he had perfect pitch.
We always just thought that he was a true master in hearing any note in any chord progression, because he had amazing relative hearing abilities and was super quick transposing things in his mind.
I mean, he still was super quick with written music as well and a great teacher in general. But I asked a couple of other students that had him in different classes and they also didn't know he had perfect pitch.
They detuned so hard that the video froze on my first watch through and it disappeared when I restarted CZcams.
Alt. title: Brett Yang's new album of cursed classical music.
I'm glad to see them finally trying out contemporary classical music
Lol does this count though
Too soon 🤣🤣
was convinced i had a vision of this video in a dream
turns out i just saw the first upload notif when i was half asleep which is far less interesting than being a future seer ://
Same💀 I was like... Wait where is this film I swear i saw the notification
Round 1: Looks like Brett found another way to flex his horror movie music skills
So nice to see an old-school violin-shenanigans-style video.
this should be in the next ling ling workout
If I remember correctly from the old videos, one challenge was playing with one string out of tone.
Brett: plays out of tune
Perfect pitch Eddy: dies
Ahhhhhhhhh this snother level of telepathy, like hello wrongly tuning 4 strings the same
Too cute how Brett looks at Eddy for advice in terms of pitch in Pag 24 and how Eddy indicates the pitch going up and down. Such sensei student vibe.
No elephants were harmed in the making of this video! 🐘🎺🎻
Haifetz was like: Playing the violin normally is too easy! How can I make it harder for my students?
THE MEDITATION WAS MAJORLY IMPRESSIVE!!!!! NOT kidding!!!!!!!!!! Julie Gill, Glasgow, Scotland.
It's so nice to see more videos when they're playing violin again!
Still waiting for the return of violin charades though!!!
YEAH!!! OMG SO MUCH NOSTALGIA!!! BRING BACK VIOLIN CHARADES ❤
Tuning the violin weirdly
*Twoset* : this is messed up
*Me* : achieved this the first time i tuned my violin...haha prodigy
Couple of things: 1. Missed these types of videos. 2: the disclaimer was a little late, fellas. 😂
On one side, this was fantastically cursed.
On the other side, this is as 'in tune' as my violin playing gets. [ducks and hides in shame]
I want to see Brett play all of Caprice No. 24 by muscle memory on this cursed violin!
Is it just me or Brett looks so cute in that outfit?
If you liked it, check their Christmas video: 'A TwoSet Christmas Special Concert' - they both wear those there.
0:52 this proves that twoset telepathy never fails 😂😂
Also can I just add that their playing has levelled up since the last time we heard them play? Even when it's out of tune, you can still hear the quality of their tone!
this is unfair! Eddy has perfect pitchhhh
It does not really helped him with the Pganini.
You only need relative potch to play in tune
Pitch* XD
@@chickenosaurus_rex Did you know it is possible to edit your previous comment?
@@CsZsolt it’s not because I’m on mobile web version (I deleted the app)
Only real Ling Ling wannabes know this was reuploaded.
Real Ling Lings are practicing. Did you get your 40 hours in?
I had my first ever solo performance with orchestra a month ago playing lark ascending. It was very hot and midway through the first cadenza, my d string slipped flat by a quarter of a tone or so.
In a piece where the overtones are so important and the open d is used so much, it was less than ideal to say the least (and this was my first performance with orchestra and I was playing with no music). It was definitely an experience.
For fun may I recommend Twosets 'The Lark DESCENDING (Chromatically)' video?
@@kd3684 lmao, hadn't seen that. It's incredible. I think my orchestra might have had a fit but I will bear it mind if I ever play it again 😂😂
Damn! The tuning each other's instruments is such a twist.
"My perfect pitch, it HURTS!" - eddy chen, 2024
Real ones know this was a repost
I DO!!
I have been practicing 40 hours a day so I haven't been able to be that active 😢
You're not practicing 40 hours if you know this is a repost 🤔
I was wondering why when i clicked on the notif it was not playing 💀
Yeah they posted it and then privated it earlier
I'm amazed you're able to remember how they're supposed to sound after that sacrilege 😂
giving us high definition of brett's tchaik but on a horribly out of tune violin how cruel;-;
hey, they play! I just realised how much I miss them playing and laughing at each other's mistakes.
you guys should do violin charades but with SUPER out of tune violins
You can tuna fish, but you can't tuna a...wait, what are we doing?
I can play like TwoSetViolin!
If you can play it prodigy, you can play it sacrilegiously
only about a minute and a half in and already the best video idea
lve bretts concentration face ._.
We waited for Brett playing Tchaik again, but not like this 😭
Absolutely love this video! More violin playing/games videos please ☺️
The fact that i play Paganini the same way but on the normally tuned violin
I never knew twoset played the viola 🤣 it’s so out of tune
It's fun hearing TwoSetViolin sound legit like newbs.
This needs to be the next Ling Ling challenge!
This is why I like twoset 🎻!!! While they are professional violinist busy practicing 40 hours a day, they still work hard to create new idea original content.
The aggressive vibrato to fix the note-
"Gentlemen, untune your violins."
Friendly feedback for the editor(s): there have been a lot of cuts recently. I'd have loved to hear more of each attempt! I promise our attention span is not that bad; we're not on tiktok. I felt that just as I was vibing to the Tchaikovsky and Paganini, it just cuts ahead which kind of threw me off.
But all in all, it was fun to watch! You guys can bring back the ling ling workout and add this to one of the challenges.
Twoset has been blessing us all with uploading regularly these days for practicing so hard 40 hrs a day... May Ling Ling be with all of us... ^^
I knew I wasn’t tweaking when I saw the notification and no vid 😆
imagine using this for content with producer Shawn in the next episode
5:48 me opening my bedroom door to get snacks at 12:00 midnight
So all this time the problem was not my skills only my violin was untuned😂
Finally I sound like them
I do think a great idea would be for them to play violin songs on different instruments that they don't know as well.
I think I've commented this before, but you really should do a video on scordatura. Try playing Biber's rosary sonatos on an normally tuned violin or like this playing normal pieces on one of his "cursed" tunings.. like the one where the strings are crossed!
One of those rare occasions when perfect pitch really helps
with the disclaimer in the video telling us not to untune our violins, maybe the thumbnail needs to change 😅
some of these notes sound like sad cow moos i cant
"repost if you are being held hostage"
Editor-san escaped the basement, and the new one already sends for help.

Eddys perfect pitch coming in clutch
When this video came out and it was on private and I started panicking
Why was it on private?
@@devynnagy2707video glitched and they had to reupload
@@devynnagy2707 the video started glitching out from 0:33 - 1:20
@@hellothereeewasntavailable Oh, so instead of deleting it they put it on private.
Its nice to see them play a new composer this time :) Good video
Note to self don't change E-string directly before performance. When I was doing a recital at uni my E-string started going flat. I was moving up and up and up the fingerboard then it decided to go totally slack so had to play the rest of the movement with only 3 strings. Could have cried! 😂😂😂
This is awful, but in a great way! Lol I laughed a lot, thank you!!
They look way cooler playing when it's detuned. They seem more natural, it's cool to see them try to improvise and figure out where to go
The "I have no hope" way Heifetz looks at them in the thumbnail😆
Way to hurt Eddy’s perfect pitch, by “tuning” when it’s untuned. Nice one, Brett. 😅
More violin charades! 🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥
This should be a part of the Ling Ling workout
Seconded
Finally I can say I play as well as Twoset
One of my biggest fears in orchestra is having one of my pegs slip during a performance. It’s on the same bar as breaking a string. I’d rather just stop playing at that point.
8:09 Brett: “🇳🇴!”
These two still sound good even out of tune. Fun stuff
You guys make me want to practice!!!!
More games like this
Seconded
@@Imonlysleeping2thirdded
YES.
How is this still more in tune than me normally 😭
This is me switching from viola to violin. Every time!
I literally laugh out loud on tram just when I heard the first melody played by Brett😂😂😂
BTW their violins sound exactly like my singing
It's very interesting how the tone of the violin also changed in terms of quality, or so my ears think. It kind of sounds muted to me.
Possibly because they're just trying to hit the notes and not playing with their usual attention to tone quality/resonance.
@@nimnix that could be!
twoset finally in focus lol
if only we knew eddy had perfect pitch to help him any earlier 🙄
At 7:15 it sounded like brett played paganini on baroque tuning😂😂
An eternity later.....
I'm amazing at this. I'm too lazy to tune my violin regularly.
I'm hopelessly out of tune obviously, but not more so than when playing with strings perfectly in tune... :D
Lots of key-changes and modulations, I heard.
Reupload?
Would be nice to see pieces that use a different tuning standard
Brett's cursed genius is back
This def has to be added to the list for the ling ling workout
6th level should have been Brett’s lofi ☠
Perfect pitch sure comes in handy
Meditation sounded good because there were not so many string crossings. Next piece was totally different story. Alot of string crossings a thus many out of tune notes.
well that's the experience of the average school orchestra student no?
Oh, Suzuki!
