- Cape Town is the first municipality in South Africa to use electric buses for public transport. 80 percent of the population uses mini buses, and the Stellenbosch University is converting them into EVs.

Get a subway for goodness sake.
That's much easier said than done. And while subway is a good replacement for the larger buses within cities, it's solving maybe 20% of the issue.
The busses are from China so I wouldn't get my hopes up
Ask Tesla they’ll tell you about Evs from China.
Get rid of the coal power plants for good. The commercial EVs will be drop in the ocean without doing that.
