    We have mini donkeys and ponies. I want to breed my mini donkey to a pony for a mini mule. I think it would end up looking just like her, but smaller. I've always heard you could train a donkey or mule easier than a horse because they're more trusting and less skittish.
    She's a definite keeper!

    Charlie was the first mule we ever trained and he is perfect. We can take him anywhere and ride with anyone with no problems. We treat them good but expect them to behave. I don't call that spoiled. Spoiled is getting away with bad behavior.

    The American Saddlebred horses are high headed and wide eyed, but depending on the trainer, they also have that kind of mind set too!

    Looks just like a smaller version of my lizzy. only without the big hangups about her ears. is this one a fox trotter mix? I only ask because mine is and they look so similar.

    There is no such thing as 15.5. A hand is 4 inches and once you reach 15.3 it's 16 hands next . It goes 15.1. 15.2. 15.3. 16

      15.5 may have just been a "fifteen and a half" but said incorrectly. That happens sometimes in narration

    Mules are the BEST! I don't think I will ever ride another horse. Mules live longer, are stronger, eat less and are way smarter, and what a great ride.

    question... i have seen a horse kick someone, but no a donkey kick someone..... so do mules kick people or not?

    • @allysonwilk9814
      @allysonwilk9814 Před 8 lety

      POTATO SALAD MAN+ Yes any kind of horse and related things can, now it's not that they will it is just they might depending on how well trained they are and what your doing near the back of them.

      Just Some Ordinary CHIMPANZEE if i may add on this old thread,, horses and other equines may also kick if you sneak up on them (whether on purpose or not)
      Non horse equines tend to kick less because donkeys and mules are of a calmer nature than most horses (with the exception of larger "cold blooded" breeds who tend to be big, lazy teddy bears)

    What makes a mule better than a horse or a donkey?

    • @MichaelCorryFilms
      @MichaelCorryFilms Před 9 lety +1

      James Parris They are smarter, less skittish, have better endurance, sturdier, and can jump practically vertical.

    • @frogbear02
      @frogbear02 Před 7 lety +4

      fall down a mountain, because they are not as sure footed as mules, give up walking because they are not as strong by size, be bullied into doing anything while mules are too smart to do stupid things.

    • @devilssemblance5938
      @devilssemblance5938 Před 6 lety

      EquestrianDueTime czcams.com/video/4MYQTDJUqXY/video.html are you sure about that
      Mules are a hell of a lot smarter and more stubborn than horses so it takes actual partnership with them to do things, rather than jamming a shank bit in their mouth and yanking them around until they submit likr the riders in most of the sports you listed do to their horses. Its not a matter of equine ability, but of rider inability and a complete lack of horsemanship

    well yes a draft mule eats the same amount as a normal 15.3 hands horse. i would know i own a draft mule and a 15.5 barrel racing quarter horse.
