Morning After: Processing What Happened & Why. (Eating Toast Trigger Warning!)

  • Firstly, I take a beat to figure out why I did that yesterday, what led up to it and what my state of mind/emotions were like before and after. Secondly, in the Now, I learn some stuff and also realise I have yet more to work through.
    And that's okay.
    It's a journey of many twists and turns and up and downs. Doing this vlogging is just one of the pieces of equipment I'm using on this mountainous hike, now to figure out what else will help get me to where I need to go next.

    Nothing worse then seeing your child upset - I hope she’s ok bless her ❤ Sorry to hear you were feeling rejected and unsupported by your friend 😢 Whilst its crap that you had a binge you’ve made progress by not going at far as you would usually & eating as much as you usually would. It’s also good that you’ve put in the work to figure out why it happened & putting measures in place to change things going forward. I’m glad you’ve chosen to be kind to yourself ❤ Sending you love ❤

      I must admit feeling rejected sort of helped, it was a catalyst for some self growth. Before, I would have binged then beat myself up mentally and continued on repeating the same cycle!
      What's really helping is those conversations with my daughter, funnily enough. Having to help her figure stuff out often triggers stuff that I didn't learn as a teenager, and now have to learn to apply to myself in my mid-40s! Hubby and I often remark on how being parents taught us just as much as we've taught her.
