I think it's one of those things where if you are a guy getting bullied by a guy you ask your dad for an advice while if you were a girl getting bullied by a girl you would ask your mom, now if you are a guy getting bullied by a girl then kinda bruh... And if you are a girl getting bullied by a guy then that guy can safely expect the whole family to be at his doorstep by the next hour no cap.

This is pretty much exactly how my dad reacted when I told him about my situation in school. His words were “sometimes people only understand one language. So try responding in his tomorrow.” I got a week of suspension from the school. My dad acted like he was upset at the school and as soon as we sat in the car, he asked me “McDonalds or burger king?”

We learned as kids to try to avoid fights and not to start them, but if a fight came anyways, then fight to win. Both my parents told us that. I used that advice many times growing up and farther down the road. Good advice and good training.

I got in a fight once in my 12 years of school. I chose to not fight but I remember that I felt no pain when he hit me. He had shoved my friend and she was scared and I took a stick and hit him right across the face. He saw the punches didn’t bother me so he smashed my head against a tree. I still did not fight. I don’t know why but every time he hit me, I thought that if I fought back, I might actually hurt this guy because I realized right then and there, all the times he acted tough was him putting on a show because he was also scared. They called my dad and he came and got me, all bloody and beaten, and when I went back to school, I was obviously clowned for years but me and my friend knew that I didn’t really care about it. I still remember my dad being angry until I told him everything, and then he took me home and he told me to go to my room and play my game.
