My playlist out in the shop keeps gettin' better....wen people come over to hang out I stream these vids on the big TV an have the music as jus background jus loud enough to talk over without yelling....nobody really talks unless it's to ask me more detailed questions bout wats going on an wat they're lookin at.....I'm slowly converting them into rocketology nerds....ibeven had one call me at three in the morning to tell me about RocketLab.....dude, spoiler alert, I was sleeping!!! 🤣🤣🤣

Love this era, as watching the Apollo program as a small boy now in my middle 60’s, yes we had NASA, from American tax payers money, now private investment and innovation . Space tech is striving forward at a formidable pace to achieve Human exploration.

The safety of the public and the protection of the environment is the FAA first and upmost priority and not a companies personal milestone. Spacex has done a extraordinary job , repairing the orbital launch mount and it's site ,the upgraded water deluge system a magnificent accomplishment in such a short period of time, you have to calculate using more powerful engines into the equation,( here's one of the main catch 22's so to speak) with the FAA and their licensing for the STARSHIP I have studied video's and comments for hours and days. SPACEX stated after the first orbital launch attempt that for a few sec. they (LOST CONTROL)of the STARSHIP we must prove without any doubt that we have (FULL CONTROL) of the vessel. DDM

Can crushers test rockets. Why are they never heat tested for Re-entry heat. I’m a ceramic shell bronze caster and ran thousands of tests on the moulds ability to wi stand 1250’C because one casts with 2 associates& lives are at steak. Molten bronze which goes through the sand layer you put on the floor hits the cement below and the always dormant water in cement reacts with the 1250’C hot bronze and explodes particles of cement and bronze back at the casting crew. Even wearing leather and masks,it can be unpleasant. You need to be sure your mould recipe can withstand the heat and not breach the mould. The only way is via testing and thickness by layer. As measured in microns. Moulds are then Flash Dewaxed so that the wax doesn’t expand prior to its burnout. Or a crack could occur in the mould,which could either lead to surface flashing or a mould rupture. Neither are good for SPACEX even with the basic”Kiln blanket” beneath the bakery s recipe for heat retardant tiles. And metal expands in tiles. Cracking them& potentially separating them. SPACEX don’t need a failure like that with the moon landing contract out there,although temperatures there are far lower. But we all hope to see them doing the entire trip one day, by adding a Larger version of Dragon on the nose if necessary for emergency s and moon or Mars seperate landing s. They can become multi functional and suits the Company Better. They are thorough by nature.
Details, details; this is what we engineers like. BUT, are we making copying easier for the CCP and their launch plans?
