- Ready To Go Home, was written by Graham Gouldman of 10cc after the death of his father, Hyme Gouldman, in 1991. Gouldman re-recorded the song for his 2000 album, And Another Thing..., when he observed in the liner notes: "It reflects my feelings at the time. I suppose I was trying to put a positive slant on his passing, remembering all the things we had done together and his artistic legacy to me. The last verse of the song best reflects my feelings on this. This song has been recorded by many artists and remains one of my favourites. (Courtesy of Wikipedia)
Surprisingly or not so surprising, this beautiful rendition by Sissel is my favourite. It is PERFECTION from the first note to the last. - Hudba

I'm a 10cc fan and this is my favourite song of theirs. I don't often like songs being covered by other performers but this is absolutely brilliant !
It was the evening of the 29th of December 2013, my wonderful horse "Louis" died. Lonely and crying I searched for a song that described my feelings when I was holding this huge head in my arms. It was this song I heard for the first time that night. Since that time I take comfort in hearing that angelic voice. When I listen to that song, it opens me a glance into that world we all are destined for. A world where my horse waits for me ... Thank you very much, Sissel.

Today I said farewell to a friend of mine who died last week, she was a shining personality like Sissel and I hope this songs message may be representative for her journey!
Is there anything she can't sing? This is a 10 cc song when they reformed after losing a few members. Still...she knows her stuff and has great taste picking the kind of music she likes and can sing well. Surprise...guess that's why I love her so much. Beautiful tone to her voice,great intonation as to pitch and what a range. Yes folks Sissel is a SUPERSTAR in every sense of the word.
