Recently my Nintendo Switch has started making this loud noise shortly after turning it on, almost like a car engine.
My guess is that it’s either the heat shield or the fan has a bit too much dust in it.

Bought mine on release and it's been like this once in a blue moon since a year ago and lately it's been happening more frequently so I really need to clean or replace the fan. I watched the video you shared and it was really helpful, thanks.

Its does that if u run a game that requires more power but if it makes a grinding sound thats an issue

Mine's doing that now, even on the menus. I'm worried that the fan will completely die soon and I'd rather not run the Switch without it (fire hazard) so I sent it away to Nintendo for fixing.
