- I visited Dunia Fantasi (Dufan) during a 24 hour stopover in Jakarta, Indonesia. At 200K Rupiahs or $15 it's certainly a lot cheaper than the major amusement parks such as Disneyland and Universal Studios that I've visited in other countries, but how does it compare to those parks for entertainment value?
Dufan is located in the Ancol entertainment complex. I found the hotels there to be quite pricey so I strategically booked the nearest hotel that was outside. It was only a couple of minutes walk away but wasn't easy as it involved crossing a busy highway.
This was my first time in Java but exploring Dufan is as much as I did. I will be back in the future to properly explore the island.

I live less than 2 kilometres away from Ancol, and I admire and love Scotland to bits, always wanted to go there and this video is such a delight to watch, absolutely love the accent.
Amazing to see the vast difference between the conditions in regional areas and then the city and theme park areas. Living conditions, general infrastructure is very different in those regional areas. Your videos highlight that when you watch them consecutively. Awesome vlogs, amazing country!!!

Except istana boneka. Yes it's one of the popular, but it the same boring ride as galactica (even way more boring than galactica imo) since you just sit in a ride, do nothing, just watching dolls in their costum.
Layla Sya'adah at least those attractions could help u when sun so hot and u got tired for walking and screaming.. coz those attractions indoor and give u fresh air.. aaand maybe for children those are good attraction with “doll” “aliens” “space ship”.. agree?

my mother used to work there as a marching band member, I was let loose at the park by my mother while she works
it was fun days back there :' )

no improvement, all newer "improvement" are bad, people rather to spend more for Universal studios singapore, believe me if Universal/ disney decide to open in indonesia dufan would be dead in matter of months, people go there simply because there is no better options

Especially the classic Halilintar, Tornado, Fighting Bird (the one that let you spin up at the sky with big bird), Ontang Anting, and the one that launch you up to sky but I forgot the name
But if you want some chilling one you can go for Bianglala, Turangga Rangga, Ontang anting, and Doll Castle and I hope this Doll Castle have some significant changes after all this years

At the ICE AGE Adventure ride they asked everyone to put cameras & phones away most likely because they were solely trying to warn the riders that there's a chance of getting electronics wet and then broken. Although I couldn't hear everything that they said clearly, but i could hear "cameras & phones" & "become one's responsibility." You could actually just film it since you know that your camera is waterproof. AND, in fact, Dufan actually has a license + collaborated with 20th Century Fox (the one that produced Ice Age) to create that ICE AGE ride. They wouldn't dare to create it without a license since it is a tourists spot. So, I just thought it was funny how you like to jump so quickly into conclusions like saying that it was a knockoff lol. But, anyways, just so you know. Hope you have a pleasant stay in Jakarta!

I lived in Jakarta in the mid 90s and it doesn’t look like Dufan has changed much since then. I remember the looping corkscrew coaster - looks like an old Arrow Dynamics design, rough as hell.

The flume ride or niagara-gara is actually Indonesian favorite ride of all ides in Dufan. If I come to Dufan and go to the niagara-gara, sometimes the line takes about 30 minutes. 🤣
I just got back from walt Disney world. 8 fun filled days. As a Disney parks lover,I must say,this park isn't bad. I'm going to Jakarta next year and will definitely go there.
Go to bandung man is a friendly city, and choose a villa in lembang or dago is more cold than other city. you can choose to go with a train or a shuttle bus to bandung
But the traffic there is insane, you can get stuck for quiet a while

Dufan ( Dunia Fantasi / Fantasy World ) Is a great theme park, the only bad thing is the scorching sun that'll dry your sweat.
As a person living in that country, the theme park is popular for school trips. At busy day, the parking lots would be full. however they have a large road and basically less of attractions than what other countries had. In a very sunny day, that large road will make you suffer. There's no area for y'know escape the sun especially the sun this year is extremely harsh, hotter and brighter.

I went here with the entire 6th grade for our graduation from the school. And there's no rule inside. The school just let you be a normal guest, well of course we still gather to pray or when it's time to leave. Ahhhh those years was wonderful compared to now ☹️
The Theme Park (Dunia Fantasi DUFAN: Fantasi World) in your video, is just one of many subtheme park in the complex area which actually it is called Ancol. You could get more "free" features with just only that entrance fee (IDR 25k) if you want. i.e. shuttle bus (if you patient to wait it's cycled), sandy beach to just get lay down or swim, Mrina Beach, Ecopark, etc.
Man I want to visit Indonesia such great and friendly people visit samosir, medan, Jakarta,bali, Yogyakarta. Also love their jelly dessert,nasi goreng,etc.

just a little tip for crossing any road in Jakarta, show the cars your hand and they will slow down their vehicles (unless they flash light on you that means you need to hurry up 😆 or just wait before crossing)
