    amazing!!
Could someone explain more about how he manages to have no filtration and almost no water changes?!?!
    My mind is blown!

Dosing is the answer, if you keep a salt tank then you already know all about dosing as it's needed for every single tank basically.

It's now been a year since this video was posted and I'm extremely curious to know how this aquarium has evolved. I work in a public aquarium and I am very curious to have feedback on NPS keeping. We have a NPS tank that is 10 months old, we have had our successes and failures, I would be very happy to chat with Ken as he uses a radically different keeping method to anything I have seen so far with NPS.

Weekend with the wholesalers... Sounds like a good way to spend every weekend!
Appreciate the coverage on an NPS tank. Interesting tank.

You most certainly will see me. I Look forward to meeting one of my biggest inspirations for setting up a personal reef. Can’t lie though… might be even more excited to look at coral and meet some local Reef keepers.
Thanks for doing what you do!

I once impulse bought a purple carnation coral for 30 bucks at an old lfs. I did zero research but by chance, I added it to the tank and mounted it upside down and the thing actually lasted for about a year and some change. I believe a big water change alongside removing a ton of macro algae from my refugium killed it. I know it’s morbid but it was the most interesting thing to see, it looked like the coral was mostly composed of fibers, not “soft” slimy tissues. Maybe one day I’ll try them again in a specie specific tank.

Gentlemen, I'd love an update ;) If Ken can keep NPS like Dendronepthya (my favourite coral) it will be absolutely epic ;) But I know it's difficult - hopefully he has cracked it ;)

Have you tried feeding the Tubastrea Calanus?
I believe Richard Ross feeds tons of it to his NPS

No, I have not... Been overwhelmed for time trying to keep this colony fed in this tank, so recently moved it into a 10 gallon of its own; now just tossing in decap Artemia cysts, it's now eating mostly live brine shrimp (plus a little bit of Willow's Reef Coral Feast).

@@MileHighReefers I fed mine pieces of silver sides among the other meaty stuff we feed our reefs...I don't think they want to eat a whole fish but if your fish panic swim away and into one....they're done-zo....I was ultra bright pink and green pigment under my T5s back then....
