I'll stick with my glass windshield thanks. Had it for years and have never had a rock break it. Have had one chip in it that insurance covered at a auto glass installer & that was years ago. (Yes, you can put glass coverage on a sxs). All of my buddies that have plastic/acryllic etc spend more time trying to buff out scratches and more money replacing them than I spent on my glass unit.

You started the video stating that there are (4) four types of materials including glass that can be used for ATV/UTV windshields. Why didn't you include glass in your testing? With new glazing materials in the market like Corning's Gorilla Glass hybrid windshields, it would have been a great opportunity to test and compare.

Steve, glass windshields surely have their place in the market due to their scratch resistance. But they don’t tend to do well in the woods and the rocks. I have seen more than few busted when the machine bounces against a tree, or a rock is thrown from the guy ahead. Hard coated poly gives you great scratch resistance, without the worry of breaking your windshield.

@@Seizmik You're right if you're doing some hardcore rock bouncing race in or something like that, but I haven't seen any of my friends glass windshield break yet. I like that it is the best scratch resistance out there

On some UTVs though, that is not an option. Some people have smaller chinese UTVs that the aftermarket companies ignore making glass for. So that is why this video is very informative because it educates owners of these that are stuck with whatever they have available.

Claude, when we produced this video, glass options for UTVs really weren't a thing because of cost and availability. There are some companies now making glass windshields, and we feel like most people have a pretty good understanding of their properties, given their use on cars and trucks. We have plans to update this video sometime this year and will be sure to discuss glass. Thanks for watching.
