me and my wide have a pairing wedding watch, with her wearing the panthere in small size and the santos medium for me.
many friends has complimented the choice, since most people would pick the tank over the panthere, but yet this panthere has a case design that resonates very well with the santos.
my wife actually love wearing it with a black leather strap that literally transforms it into a santos dumont small which does not exist!
the panthere bracelet is also really comfortable, but very difficult to size (i didnt want to risk scratching the polished edges so we brought it back to the cartier store to resize)

Welcome to the club! An explorer and a cartier dress watch is the best combo to have. Benefits of the quarz movement: 6-8 years of battery life, its dead silent unlike older cartier models with quarz. It doesnt tick, it only makes a tiny sound when the minute hand moves once after each minute and it allows the watch to be under 8mm thick.

These watches are stunning in precious metal and I agree that they do very much lean toward jewellery . The Rose gold versions are somewhat softer in appearance and imbue the wearer with both power and elegance. They are also very silky on the wrist.
I have one gripe, the modern version of the Panthere wristwatch lacks the seconds hand which for me gives the dial essential kinetic energy, and neither do they have a calendar date window. Cartier are being mean at £ 25 K to exclude those two details. The earlier models of the Panthere possessed both.

@@KamilOlaf The Santos is a poor value proposition at its current price, for me anyway, but no doubt it's an attractive watch.
I have some decent looking watches that keep shitty time (e.g. Seiko Craftmanship Series), but I didn't pay Santos or Speedmaster money for them.

Cartier Santos and the Dumont with strap options I understand. Not sure about this option, but, I'm glad were all different.

If youre right, and its an in-house Piaget quartz....then that's fine with me...they're every bit - or more so - as reputable in movements as Cartier

I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the MaMaCoo 's watches are the most intriguing.

Adrian, congratulations! You have found an alternative to the vintage Santos 2961 in the Panthere 😆
I love Cartier too 👍 in fact, the bulk of my collection is Cartier.
    First men’s wristwatch,
    first pilots watch,
first watch to put screws on the bezel…
Agree that Cartier is a legit watchmaker.
The most amazing thing is its secondary watch market prices have recently outperformed Rolex and the holy trinity 😮

I think keith Richard wore one, long time ago... Cartier is amazing, they have so many interesting case shapes, and no matter the model, they are all timeless classics! Nobody do that like Cartier! Panthere, Santos, tortue, crash, tank/ Louis/ englaise/francaise/ americaine, baignoire, baignoire allongée, rotonde, Ballon bleu, La Dona, ect....

For me, this timepiece has "Wall Street 80s" written all over it. Charlie Sheen's Bud Fox wears the gold one when he starts making a bit of scratch off Gekko's op.

Absolutely love the Panthere and think it's the best women's watch out there and this size also works for men like me. Would love to rock the full gold but not at this price and also the 5k for a SS Quatz is too much. It's a 2-3k watch MAX.

I too feel myself more and more drawn to this watch, although I’d need to compare it on the wrist with a Santos and a Tank. I’d only have a quartz Cartier. All my other watches are automatic and having a classy watch with a movement that fundamentally changed the world of watches would round out the collection.

I really like it. In general I like jewelry watches. Happy with the Piaget, Cartier and other retro jewelry offerings trend. To me this is still a watch, not just jewelry. I don’t get why a cheap eta watch is considered a real watch, while this quartz with great finishing isn’t. And they both tell the time.
Happy to see a video like this, personally I’m a bit done with all the Tudor, Omega and IWC videos.
