It's most jarring at 1:24 where it sounds like the fake RPM just teleports from 2k to 6k. I guess the sound synthesizer doesn't keep up with the real tach well.
I have the same Sound in my SEAT Leon Cupra ST and I hate it. It is so clearly fake and annoying.

@@zolikoff When using Sport Mode, you get a really discreet sound. But in Cupra Mode, you get this annoying noise. It is only disabled in Comfort/Eco mode. You also can pull out a plug and then it it is definitely off. But for this you need hands in the size of a baby. ;) I will do this when I got my aftermarket exhaust.

basically, a jacked up seat leon with a much nicer body shape. I drove the 150hp one.. I laughed when I first saw it, as it looked like a 400 hp fire spitting machine...when, in fact, is feels kind of lethargic; but, for the purpose of being a family car, it is pretty decent. I told the delear I'll wait for him to have the 190 hp version(which is easily a 220 hp car) up for testing and then I will decide. The looks are great and from 20 meters, you have no ideea if it is the 310hp rocket or the 1.5 150hp sensibile comfy family car. - and I'm not really sure if that is good or bad :))))) -

There is a new variant that will join the Formentor line-up very soon. The upcoming variant that will be revealed in two weeks time (Feb 22 2021) will have a 5 cylinder turbocharged engine from the Audi RS 3/ RS Q3 & TT RS.
so VW cant get that 5 cyl into their Golf R or Arteon where it's desperately needed, but can in Rebranded Seat? Cmon, what a joke
@@ak-vq3js Yeah, I know. It is very weird that the Arteon R, Tiguan R & the new Golf 8 R doesn't even come with a 5 cylinder engine.
@@ak-vq3js Cupra announced on their Instagram page that they will launch a multi-cylinder formentor at the end of February.
@@ak-vq3js the thing is VW and Audi for most consumers are directly competing and VW is seen as a slightly more budget Audi. If you put the 5cyl into a golf R or Tiguan R then it would take sales away from Audi as most people would see it as the better choice. Cupra being a new brand and the formentor being a crossover SUV only competes with the rsq3 on paper but the reality is people who would buy the formentor won't shell out for the Audi and people who go for the Audi wouldn't go down to a cupra. It also allows the newly formed cupra company to generate hype by having the 5cyl engine and drive some sales. While I would love some VW cars to get that engine it's clear to see why they allowed cupra and keep it from VW

Cupra? Never seen one before, we don't have them in the middle east. We usually have a Nissan Patrol Super Safari which is popular ( for mods/modifications as well).

Errrrrrrrm, I was thinking of buying one of these, but this video has really made me think twice, one reason was when the window was opened, it sounded really ordinary, is the cabin noise not real?
Does anyone have idea, all these cars with fake engine sound thru speakers, can you turn that thing off from settings?
It´s combined with the drive-modes.. so if you choose Comfort, Sport, Offroad it´s deactivated.. in "CUPRA"-mode it is on. But if you want that mode without the fake sound, you can handle that in an Indivudual-Mode setting.
