We find the old time weddings disappointing and we laugh at them. However funnily atleast the divorce rates were much much lower back then. Compared to now after spending 50k or so on weddings couples still don't seem to last.
Well divorce rate was low cause *domestic abuse rate was MAXIMUM , crime against women were at peak , low education / women jobs , bride killing*
