Very good, Darren. Since I’ve been running thetis lately on parallels on the iMac I noticed the surge was back. I added a 3ms delay between tx and rx and it got rid of it. I’ll try this setting you showed tomorrow.
Thank you. FYI, I updated to Protocol 2 on my Anan 7000dle Mk3 and now my computer isn't talking to the 7000dle. When I come back from the holidays, I will continue to troubleshoot why it's not communicating.

it is not a bug, but the fft bins clearing down to the new levels from wdsp. Checking that option clears them, but it does mean that the fft bins need to refill again, so some slight delay. The 'splat' of display is effected by sample rate, fft bin size, averaging and a bunch of other factors.
@@salat wdsp is processing a constant stream in DUP mode and having it stop start or flip is not an ideal solution (rx/tx buffer is not a thing). If the config of the ffts is in such a way such that the fft bins are 'slow' to fill then you will see them clearing down or filling up. There is no RF in this situation however. Using that option that Darren outlines to clear the buffers down between mox transition is a way to 'hide' this, however it does introduce a transition delay to the display (fft fill time). It is not deemed a bug by Dr. W. Pratt who engineered the dsp/predistortion code in use by Thetis. However you are entitled to your opinion, even if it is incorrect. 😊
Thanks for this. I am running an older version of thetis and I don’t have the option that you’ve shown. Also - although the radio shows the ‘bloom’, I cannot hear artifacts of it nor has anyone mentioned any spurious signals at end of transmit. I this just a software/display issue?
Thank you for all your videos Captain. I'm thknking to move into the Full SDR Rigs. I have a FT DX 10. So I've thought about Anana 200D or the 7000DLE. If both are running Thetis is there a major difference between them two. I mean enough to spend the extra $$ for the 7000? Thanks Javier TI2JS
@kc2mxh Javier, both are nice SDRs. I'm think of keeping my 200d and selling my 7000dle Mk3 in the near future. Keep an eye out on QRZ. I don't notice any difference between the two. They say that the 7000dle Mk3 has a faster processer but I can't really tell. If you can find a used 200d, snag it! 73 de N4VFR Darren

Like a buffer being released/purged. The flare isn't being transmitted.
