I need to see you demonstate using the holders to check sockets. I tried it but just ended up poking holes in my wall😂

Oh yeah!!! I never seen a receptacle that wide to fit with the holes on your meter

Do not take this advice. Although you would likely never be shocked using a quailty meter, using one hand could put you in more danger. Be safe, not stupid.

Those holders are there just to safely store the probes when not in use.

  • @easylikesundaymorning7340

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 we have something called guidance note 38 I'm the UK. It covers safe use and suitable test equipment and most notably not using such ridiculous test probes as those shown. Use the correct approved equipment and both hands to be safe then you won't have to worry about your heart.

Wrong. One does not need two hands to complete a path. One hand touching a live circuit can kill you if your body has a connection to ground somewhere else.

Don’t tell an electrician 120v is high voltage. They will laugh at you

That's one hell of a socket spaced that far apart.

  • @rajrigby8385

I use the same philosophy when it comes to love. I've protected my heart, so I need to use my hand

  • @FCES_Electrical_Sol

I don't see this happening when using a multimeter CORRECTLY as today's top brand meter leads are insulated or even double insulated like the fluke TL175s.

  • @marks6385

I have never gotten shocked using two hands to test anything. The plastic is non-conducive.

  • @sparked3113

240 volts defined as 'standard low voltage' in the regs here.

  • @daleburton1788

35 years I’ve never been shocked using a meter, and I do industrial 347/600 is the main voltage in our plant

  • @flightofthefatman

That's why I only use one hand when taking a piss. 😎

    Brilliant advice.

  • @billrobert3226

The one hand rule means on hand at your side not touching anything. If you hold both leads in one hand, and rest on that conduit with the other hand, youve defeated the purpese

  • @tannerwest6823
    @tannerwest6823 Před rokem +14

Klein makes a tester that has the lead holders spaced apart where you don’t have to hold them
