Does it charge properly, I saw many reviews of the pencil not charging with the case on it.
Yes, the Apple Pencil charges just fine with the sleeve on. I am not sure why other reviewers say it would not at times.
hi does the double tap feature still work with the sleeve on? thanks
Hi there! Yes, everything still works normally. The silicone sleeve is very thin so it does not interfere with any functionality.
I put pinch of talc powder in sleeve to reduce friction. I hope this helps ○_○
Sounds like a good idea, thanks!
does the pencil charge with it on?
Yes, the Apple Pencil 2 charges still.
the problem is that: after putting it on and off several times it starts to loose its firmess. Sometimes it even stars to go up itself while I am writing. I have a different brand though, have you experienced similar situation with it?
Yup, I do find that the sleeve sometimes moves up when I am writing, but I have gotten used to it and just adjust it whenever it slips up or down. I also try not to take in on and off a lot to avoid it loosening up. I've only done it a number of times, one of which for the demonstration I made for this video. Other than that I keep the sleeve on all the time and I am quite happy with it.
@@Danboarding thank you for the useful information and advice
How about first generation??
First gen apple pencil has a different style of sleeve, you may want to check amazon for the exact sleeve model. I imagine the same technique applies. Hope that helps.
I wanna know how to install the one for the first generation. I bought it on Amazon and there are no videos
@@ReneelovesGod I assume it's the same procedure. Just don't grip it to hard when inserting the pencil into the sleeve. Good luck!
Thank you i have been fucking freaking out
Happy to be of help!
Hi! Can anyone help me? I have some questions about the silicone case.
1. Will the silicone case leave stickiness strain on the pencil after some time??
2. Will the apple pencil (2) lose it matte surface after cleaning?
I know these sound stupid but please help me 😂
Hi there! To answer your question: 1: No. 2: No. Hopefully that helps!
@@Danboarding Thank you soo much.
I see your using the 11” what happened to the 12.9”?
Oh, I returned the 12.9" and replaced it with this 11". I find the smaller form factor of this one more convenient for my use. The 12.9" sort of kept me desk bound, while the size of this one is more portable for me.
@@Danboarding I see. I have the 11” too.
But how do you remove it easily???
I try not to remove the one I have on the pencil, but if you need to do it, just hold lightly at the end and gently slide it out. Do not apply too much pressure when you are pinching and the silicone sleeve should slide out eventually. I hope that helps!
It doesn’t make sense how you do it! I can’t get mine on more than an inch, I have to throw them out because they won’t go on!! 😭
Please make sure to match the shape of the sleeve to the flat side of the Apple Pencil 2, and also try to hold it lightly with your fingers, not too tight. I hope that helps, good luck!
it still doesn’t work for me!! 😮💨 it’s literally jammed in place
I'm sorry to hear that. Take your time; don't squeeze too hard. Make sure that flat edge contour of the silicone sleeve lines up with the flat part of the Apple Pencil 2. Also, make sure you have the right silicone sleeve for the pencil that you have; there's the first version of the Apple Pencil and a second version that is used as an example in this video. The first version is the one with the USB charging at the end part; the second version is the one that magnetically attaches to an iPad Pro for charging.
omg i should've watched your video earlier... i've been pulling the sleeve up for the past 1 hour....... when I watched ur video I have already pulled it up 80% and my fingers were hurting already
LOL Believe me, I suffered the same way you did when I first got the sleeve and tried to put it on the first time! I hope all things worked out well for you!
@@Danboarding i managed to put it on so smoothly after watching your video! But when I tried to remove it, I had a super difficult time again LOL... My pencil sleeve is different from the one you've shown in the video. Mine is fully covered to the back of the pencil, hence idk how should I pull it out /;
@@yanlingg_ Sometimes you have try not to squeeze it with your fingers too hard, but more lightly. When I grip it too hard, that's when the sleeve seems to get more difficult to remove, so try to hold it much lightly. Hope that helps!
@@Danboarding thanks for the tip! i’ll update here again when i try to remove it 😆
i just tried to remove it and wasn't too much of a struggle compared to yesterday! i put most of my force gently on the back of the pencil sleeve while pushing it out slowly. i guess it'll take a few more practices xD
skip to 2:24
This didnt work for me ;( at all.
Yikes! I hope you figure it out at your end soon.
Wtf I'm so stupid
LOL You are not alone! I felt the same way!
Thank you. I try install this silicon untill my finger broke down you know. How stupid i am 🥲😭😭😭😭
Happy to be of help! I share your frustration as I experienced the same thing before I figured it out. Thanks for checking out the video!
