    2 things I want to say:
    1) Amazing game, it was unbelievably close. Any of them could have won it but I'm happy to see Serral winning again. You could tell he was really happy by the way he celebrated the victory.
    2) Shoutout to Zombiegrub, she has improved so much with her casting. In the past I would have said she was just "good" she wasn't bad but she wasn't great either. But right now she's phenomenal! Please give her more opportunities to cast more games in the future 🙏🏻👍🏻🌟

      Her casting was great. Loved the analysis she brought. I am familiar with broodwar and not sc2 her breakdowns helped a bunch. I also feel she could have taken the lead at certain points of the cast over her co commentator. I feel like he detracted later on into the series and the analysis as a whole suffered.

    It is so weird to see that Raynor is just left to leave after the game ... I would organise the event differently at the end. Before letting the finalist go to his trophy I would invite the second player to come to the stage, congratulate him as well, maybe give him a prise as well and only after that go to the trophy. Maybe is not a good idea but anyway, I would have loved seeing Raynor there as well ...

    Smix barely didn't cry while interviewing Serral. That alone tells you how insanely EPIC this whole tournament, Serral's overall run and these finals were. I've been watching competitive SC2 from almost the very beginning and the level, epicness, craziness and sheer tenacity and fighting spirit showcased in this whole tournament is just second to none compared to any other tournament played in all these years. And that, fellows, is saying A LOT as we've had mental, extraordinary, absolutely mad tournaments in the past. But this one? This one takes the gold with Serral cementing his legacy as the undisputed GOAT against no other than Reynor: the only one who, finally, can actually put up a fight against him when he's at the top of his game just like back in 2018.
    Props to every single person that made this beautiful event possible, in the middle of a pandemic, being the first big international offline event in two years, with a war at the country's borders; but none of that stopped any of these great people to bring this beauty into existence.
    Maybe today it doesn't look like that, but this one will go down as one of the greatests of all events forever and ever.

    What amazing finals. This is the level we get when the two top players on the planet go against each other. Serral obliterated everyone else, but played to the last second against the only one that can actually put up a fight against him.
    They are the unquestionable number 1 and number 2 on the planet right now, and Serral is the unquestionable GOAT of SC2, with only Reynor or Rogue even deserving to be mentioned after him for this title.

Think it showed, the trouble with the 7th game, reynor was on 3 vipers, when had the 400 gas should have pumped up 2 more, there were 10 lurkers on the field at that point. I’m not a fan of watching ZvZ, which was inevitable considering how zergs win most major tournaments (I wonder why).. but this was a great series. Last game was really good too, wp!

      @trombonemasta Před 2 lety +3

      Yeah, I wonder why, too. Maybe, and and I'm just spit-balling here, maybe the Zerg players--like Serral, Reynor, Dark, and Rogue--are better than other players.

      @@trombonemasta Yeah, your talking utter shit. Zergs (insta) remax potential is what is broken and everybody knows it. Not that I have an issue with it, but when people like you talk shite, might as well say the truth.

    SC2 Beginner here, why the GG at 22:00? Serral seemed to be doing fine to my untrained eyes, did serral just not have the economy to build back at that point?

    • @venom-gt7rc
      @venom-gt7rc Před 2 lety +1

      I suppose it's because Reynor had many more workers and better tech (lair, although I don't know if Serral was aware of that). Also his gold base is kind of exposed. Reynor was ahead, but indeed I think that not every Z would have GG'ed at that point

    So is Katowice considered the highest tier tournament now? That is the biggest one they can win? Guess I’m just confused why it happens at the beginning of the year.
