Shouldn’t read too much into this result, we’re a team in transition who played a rampant Citeh, stuffed with World class players. Having said that, there are still huge weaknesses in the current Utd side, most notably in the midfield, McT still goes missing (perhaps because he is overwhelmed?) which leaves us relying too heavily on Erikson, who I can’t see playing a full 90minutes.
Murtough and co need to get the chequebook out come January to complete the rebuild ETH is trying to achieve. Top of the list is a Defensive midfielder, Striker, another winger (left sided) plus a reliable Keeper. Fingers crossed!
