Great remodel. Loved the colors and textures. I am glad they decided to keep the powder room as a half bath. When they were talking about expanding that into a full bath I thought, why? There’s only one bedroom on the main floor (the new master suite), which already has its own full bath. Who else would go all the way downstairs to shower? Also, I don’t really love putting clothes closets in bathrooms. If your whole wardrobe is polyester, fine. But any natural fabrics-silk, leather, suede, etc.-are going to be damaged by all the moisture.
I like closets to be their own thing, if right next to bathroom I like them with at least a pocket door. Closets aren't always neat, nice to be able to close a door and ignore the mess
Looks beautiful but I have concerns. There don't appear to be any windows in the living area? Parents have 2 young children and they are downstairs and around the corner from them. There is open shelving under the island and they have a baby on the way who will eventually crawl and pull all of that stuff off. What they really needed was the owners' suite upstairs and then two living areas downstairs - one centered on kids and one centered on adults.
The furniture you see is staged. It's not the couples furniture. This is to make the viewers see the potential that was shown in her schematic drawing.

I love everything but the front portico. The flat roof makes it look cheap. A little wider with a pointed roof would have looked much nicer.

All homes have bottom cabinets. And a lot of parents prefer their bedroom downstairs to create space. You complain a lot.

Go up stairs to your room is all I used to hear, this is normal to me, kids room should not be downstairs, they'd never go to sleep.
