I agree. Not a fan. I've given it time. Still just doesn't feel right and looks cheap for sure.
I don't mind them in the Japanese sets. Plus it was cool having them be different than the English sets in more than just language.
@@MrHandsomerob23 damn for me it's the opposite. i've never liked the yellow borders bc i feel like it clashes with the art pretty often, i was happy to see them make the change with the grey border

I can see Crown Zenith being one of the only sets worth opening in the future when everything cost more because youll get good cards kinda like Legendary Treasures is now

My favorite is for sure Crown Zenith. I'd rather buy 10 packs for $40 where I'd get at least 5 hits than Evolving Skies even for the same price to get 3 V's and a VMAX. $600 for a modern card is insane, but with one of the lowest rates yet...yeah not happening. The Rayquaza VMAX Alt Art has the same rate to be pulled as getting a shiny with a shiny charm (approx. .05%). And please, I'd much rather have Umbreon V than Umbreon VMAX, as it's 6 times cheaper and twice as cool. In 14 packs of Crown Zenith I pulled 2 G. Gallery cards, a GG Trainer, Deoxys VMAX GG, A Full Art Trainer, and a few V's/VSTARS. I miss the yellow borders for standard cards, but I think for most illustration rares/TG's the silver borders are better. I think I need to gather up my pocket money and buy all the ETB's at my GameStop.
I think Crown zenith is one of the best sets in the last decade

First thing I bought from this set was a three pack blister. It had no pulls, but reverses. That 3 pack was surely cursed!

Unpopular opinion but I think that is not true. 99% of everybody regularly opening packs was not excited for holos at least during Sun & Moon or Sword & Shield era as well. For most people they were bulk anyway.
didnt it already when they made the artwork of normal holo's smaller? The SV holo patterns are really mediocre as well imo

I love this set. My introduction to this was buying a tin and all 5 packs had hits and 2 of the 5 had double hits. I was stunned 😂
I bought a small 2 pack tin yesterday of 151 which I have never opened and got a blastoise ex. It's those moments I like when opening packs

Crown Zenith is chefs kiss, it way up there with the 2019 tag team set, goldstar EX-era and HGSS.
I love Crown Zenith, easily my favorite set from Sword and Shield. I do not miss the yellow boarders. They make it feel like the card is “yelling” at me, while the grey is calming

Crown Zenith is by far my favorite set ever. It's always so fun to pull with the gallery cards sprinkled in. And I love the cards they pulled together for the set and all the promo cards are fire too. It's the first and only set I have been collecting and hope to finish 🤞
Honestly, so glad to see some crown zenith getting opened. Has always been my favorite set of all time. (And I'm still working on the master set to this day) Its a really hard set to complete

Crown Zenith is such an amazing set, I've been debating trying to complete the set while it's still relatively cheap. I miss the yellow borders a lot too. Feels like it was a core part of the English TCG that was lost personally
I got to say if the Pokemon Co. Did make booster boxes of this then the pull rates would 100% be more harder to get the Ultra Rears

Currently trying to collect 1-34 gallery cards, always liked the non ex/v/gx/other rule box full art pokemon. Crown zenith is definitely my favorite sword & shield set.

ahhhh! when you pulled that reverse wailord and there wasnt a card behind it thats because it was stuck to the back of the card! it was probably a gold card! go back and look at it!

In the Netherlands Crown Zenith packs cost about €8, kinda jealous about the cheaper price. singles are also way more expensive here

Favorite sword and shield is lost origin but I love astral radiance aesthetic. The middle school thing hit home man. My friends and I would kinda hide that we played and collected so girls didn’t think we were corny lol. So I stopped collecting but I played sapphire version so much. Wish I never stopped collecting.

Yup, crown zenith is in my top 3 sets of sword and shield for sure! Love all the trainer gallery cards, the high pull rate, and the three legendary dogs full alternative arts are just *chef's kiss
This set is underrated but like you mentioned I think it was printed a lot so the values don’t reflect how good it really is!
glad it was printed a lot to give everyone a chance to grab and not have all the scalpers snatch up... this is a very underrated set and it will go up in value over time, no doubt
The leafeon ans glaceon gallery cards are two of my top faves! Haven’t opened this set yet cause I just got back into pokemon but gonna get my hands on some soon!
I haven’t cracked a pack myself, in years, but I love living vicariously through the Rev! I love that the trainer gallery cards are so economically priced!

i love evolving skies well it’s evolving skies and was my first pack i ever pulled a big hit from and man i just love crown zenith, i got a good bit of these packs when i started rlly getting into pokemon cards and its been by far one of the most fun sets i’ve opened and have the most fond memories with so far . there was a small period of time i got a good bit of them when gamestop was having sales and i was opening them with my cousin, who doesn’t know much about pokemon and we both just had so much fun. it was hit after hit and the artwork on them is just incredibly beautiful it was so fun seeing all the different ones, genuinely the most fun i ever had opening packs :)
I love crown zenith, prob top two set for me. I have a 3.5/5 hit rate for crown zenith which is pretty crazy ngl.

Ill never forget playing pokemon yellow on the gameboy color, then emerald, then pearl on the DS. I fell out during highschool but recently moved out of my parents house and found my old card collection and immediately started getting back into it. Is a funny thing reliving your childhood in something as simple as opening up pokemon cards 😂😂
Crown Zenith is an incredible set. Beautiful artwork and you won’t have to spend a fortune ripping packs to get a decent collection of nice cards. It’s clearly been heavily printed and a bit overlooked with 151 coming out shortly after. Once supply starts thinning out it might become a lot more expensive collecting this set.
From middle school to high school, a lot of us stopped collecting. Then, into adulthood and moving out on our own, I feel is when a lot of our big hits from those time periods got given away or sold or just vanished lol 😆
i surprised the crown zenith's price is not jumped so high, not like the Japan and other asian version that becomes so expensive. and i also got the Hoopa V SAR via box break but the package is getting returned cuz the transit storage is overloaded due to new year holiday
Definitely has a few of my favorite cards. Kind of interesting thing ive noticed is I've pulled more full arts than holos from this set. Rarely get holo cards.
What keeps drawing me to this set is not just the great pull rates, but the overall affordability of the singles. And there isn’t a single artwork in the GG that I don’t enjoy. Crown Zenith is one of the greatest sets Pokémon has ever created.

LOL, Crown zenith is my favorite set, the sad thing is I opened about 5-7 ETB's and my chase card (gratina gold card) was not pulled but at least I got the mewtwo alt art
Crown Zenith is hands down the best Sword and Shield set. Evo Skies has some beautiful hits but CZ has the best pull rate and some incredible pulls to back it up.
The last period of Sword & Shield (Brilliant Stars to Crown Zenith) was sooo good! Amazing artworks, very good pull rates.

I just got back into the hobby about 2 months ago and I’m in love with crown zenith. I go to my local card shop to try and find all the cards if i can’t find any crown packs.

I absolutely agree that Crown Zenith is the best set to open up. Great pull rates and really beautiful and awesome artworks. It is much more affordable and enjoyable than sets like Evolving Skies where the artworks are great as well but the pull rates are miserable. I like to buy one or two packs of Crown Zenith every time I visit our local card shop. I'm usually extremely unlucky so this set compensates a little with its pull rates :D

I do really like crown zenith, silver tempest and fusion strike might be the only sets that I enjoy opening as much in sword and shield. Although I think crown zenith artwork wins.

The yellow borders sometimes work with the artwork, sometimes not. Either way, Crown Zenith is one of my absolute favorites.

The holo terms seems backwards. A holo to me is when the character is holo and a reverse holo is when the card is colo not the character
Crown Zenith is sucha. good set. Pull rates will make it so worth it to open later on in the future
