You should get yourself a dish pan. So you can fill it with water and stick your feet in it when you're hot. That's what my greats used to do before there was ac. I've tried it, even if the water isn't cold it still cools you off.
This is so true, for some reason my feet gets super hot in the summer heat so I always had to wash my feet or dip my feet in cold water and it literally helped with my body temperature.
@@Juju-l3o There are more bones, muscles and where nerve endings converge in your hands and feet then the rest of your body. Even if you can't soak your feet, you can wet the palms of your hands to cool off too.

Drink plenty of water in such temps. Ice coffee doesn’t count, caffeine actually discounts water content. Gorgeous sunsets. Texas has some good ones, although, the view is usually blocked by traffic lights &/or ugly buildings.

I´ve been driven through the mojave Desert its such a rough but beautiful😍 nature which really makes you appreciate the mountains, trees, water and cool temperatures even more. 😍The food was a great inspiration!!
A neat window ventilation idea can be found @ Rental Car Camping. ( A Japanese auto camping YT channel.) Mount in a thin plywood frame 2 to 4 usb computer fans. Power these fans with a battery pack. The plywood board frame holding the fans slides into the half opened window tracks on a vehicle's rear door.👌 Corrigated plastic sheet board works too, instead of plywood; it's more flexible. So, for ppl who don't want to hack a big hole in the roof of their rig for a Maxx Air fan, this is an easier ventilation idea.
Summer weather sucks. It's the worst. I'm definitely a fall and winter guy. You should get at least 1 more fan. Btw your chip/nacho skills are pretty on point. Looks like you didn't drop anything.
This is why I don't leave my mountain abode..if it gets hotter than 80..I melt..I don't have to tell you, but the dad in me wants to remind yo..hydrate...sunscreen..take as good care of yourself as you do the pup..😊😊😊
According to my daughter, anything above 60*F is hot. I lived in the tropics [Vietnam and Florida], so, I can tolerate a little more heat, around 80*F. Live in western NY now.
I can't sleep when I'm hot, not even a little. I often open my window in the middle of a snowy winter just because everyone in the house likes the heat *too damn high* 😑 I would have melted to death. I was just in AZ 3 weeks ago. It was hot but we went to many places with AC for a bit each day. I don't know how you slept! But beautiful views

Enjoy Mammoth. That’s were I camped in my highlander for 8 days a few months back. Check out convict lake on your way up. Also recommend the scenic loop.
When I lived in my Jeep in SoCA last year, people knew it bec all my windows were 100% covered. I left the front side windows uncovered. I put up a black curtain between the front & back seat, hanging above my hips when I sat or slept. I put thick foam down in the passenger floorboard, I perfectly reclined everso against the center seats, and with all my pillows it was a perfect place, bec I was so low that people didn't realize I was inside..day or night. My blanket was black, so my legs were hidden. I was able to park in any Rich neighborhood, so no nightly hunt for a place to park. I was never harassed again or constantly listen to every car that parked near by. ~Cooking and cleanup took 2hrs plus a Lots of space, so I did OMAD, a new restaurant everyday! ~Living in a Apt now has been nice but a huge part of me wants to travel...but with Solar/AC/Heat.

I had two of those bendy fans in my E last year when I was living in it! I could get a circular flow going with them. Plus if one ran out of power I had a backup.
I've always found in the eastern Sierra, if you're above 9000'-12,000' surrounded by granite the sun radiating against the rocks makes it seem 90+ degrees even though it's 78 degrees outside. And then you're sucking air which always made me work harder and overheat. I hope you get good temps and weather on your Whitney ascent. It's a pretty neat ecosystem when you're in 106 degree heat, desert, and then in the alpine on the eastern slope.

You should get one of those pop up tents to drive the car under for shade. You’ll need some tent weights to keep it from flying away.

That reflectix on the windows made that car an oven. Use 100% cotton curtains.
