Lovely stamps!
Well presented. Enjoyed to watch the video and learned something about the stamps in the process, but also about Wembley. Thanks!
Almost a hundred years old and they look incredibly fresh! Someone took good care!
I do have both sets one of which is mint
I've got the 1924 set mnh and the 1925 set lightly franked. I didn't realise these were the first commemorative sets, the next set of stamps weren't issued until 1929 and were the Postal union congress set with the £1 stamp I can't afford. Imagine 4 years between sets issued, nowadays it's every 4 weeks. Oh and none of mine are nicely centred either.
Yeah that PUC £1 stamp is a beauty for sure and not one that I own yet.... but hopefully one day 🙂
Harold Wilson? He patented the Gannex raincoat, I believe. 🧥
And loved a bit of rough shag in his pipe
👍
👍
Hola una pregunta, el one penny es 1 penique pero no entiendo porque en este y otros esta escrito uno y medio en cifras pero en letras 3 y medio ? Gracias
shouldn't that be pronounced three ha'penny, not three and a half penny ? 😉
thanks for another informative video.
It should but I hate the pronunciation of ha'penny, if they wanted it as that they should have written it as so. It's just a personal irk of mine. The same goes for tuppence, thrupence and ha'penny in coinage - urgh!
Three half pence, not three and a half pence
Don't be so daft Barry
