Picking up my girlfriend a 88 Yamaha Raz

My girlfriend and I drive about 3 hours to purchase her new 1988 Yamaha razz. This scoot was in poor condition due to lack of care. But at the price paid for it I couldn’t resist to try and get this thing back on the road for her to have a fun little project.
As soon as we get this thing home we start cleaning the plastics and get to work. We took a good amount of time trying to spiffy this thing up and I even painted the frame after it was all cleaned up. So this little scoot has a fresh start to be something cool again.
That night some homies came over and helped me mess with it and honestly i didn’t expect to hear it run. But it kinda started the first night. The next day I messed with it some more by cleaning the petcock and carb and it seemed to have done the trick but the float in the carb was broken so after getting a new carb and putting a soda can as the air filter for now she runs better than ever. I adjusted the throttle cable somewhat correctly to make it run at a lower idle consuming less gas and yet it still has all the power right there.
As for this little raz it shall be something greater very soon I’m gonna love to see where Natalie takes this project scoot to the next level !
