- How does the most famous pilot, and perhaps the most famous person in the world, simply disappear? Amelia Earhart had already flown solo across the Atlantic when she embarked on her world record setting attempt to fly all the way around the world. Everything was going smoothly when suddenly - she vanished. What happened to Earhart and her co-pilot? Why were the circumstances surrounding their disappearance so strange? Hop inside the cockpit and fly along with Amelia Earhart on her last voyage in this all new episode of I Am.

Really? The memorial is to servicemen executed by firing squad during the First World War. It is alleged that soldiers accused of cowardice were often not given fair trials; they were often not properly defended, and some were minors. Minor or not why would you lie about your capabilities if you aren't capable. If you are not capable you chose to die and no one else is to blame but yourself. Kind of a basic knowledge of life. 176 people just as ignorant as you. If you join a campaign to fight and bitch out, that's on you and no one else, We call that being a pussy now.

I read something a while back explaining how her plane was found on an island, her copilot died on impact, but she was injured and surviving until she was hunted by coconut crabs. It's a sad ending....

The fact that this scene is just speculation and we'll probably never know what Amelia's last moments were like or what they even were makes this video all the more heartbreaking.

Actually the historical George Washington is pretty interesting; it is the some 230 years of him being mythologized and being made out to be perfect that has made him boring. Before he served as a general in the American War for Independence he was a colonel-lieutenant in the French and Indian War (in fact he was involved in the skirmishes that started the war) that became a theater in larger Seven Years War that was going on across the world. As general George Washington during the Revolutionary War he actually faced a lot of competition from his fellow generals to be the commander of the Continental Forces and faced doubt about his ability to command from the Continental Congress. As president he put down the "Whisky Rebellion" which ironically was over a tax levied by congress. George Washington could be very hot headed and temperamental as opposed to the cool, honest, and calculating man that he was remembered as. In life he had the personality we know him for largely as a public persona. His legacy has been recently called into question because he was a slave holder and for war crimes against Native Americans.

Nothing more has ever been proven. In fact, I’m not to sure that the whole small island thing was proven. They could have just crashed into the water as the only way to prove that they ended up on the island would be ro find said island.
Ik it's been 2yrs but she got eaten by flesh eating coconut crabs and they are massive like a dog plus it's ether lobster or crab that has one for pulling out fat and tissue and the other for snapping bones so as you'd imagine that would be incredibly painful

Interesting video this! Though this particular scenario is a bit of a stretch:
1...Plane lands in one piece on the beach, possibly salvageable
2...Radio still works
3...Plane flew overhead, yet did not see plane on beach on only island for miles
4...Amelia survives, though not likely her navigator
Yet no trace of them, or their plane, was ever confirmed to be found 84 years later.
To be fair, the video never claimed this to be a likely scenario.

Yeah they're all made up. They have not found her body or aircraft. She could have landed in the ocean and drowned for all we know. This video is mostly theories about a real life island she could have possibly landed on, but there's no confirmation on that theory.

To use the radio in that Electra she had to still have a little fuel to run the engine. The tubes were high voltage which required a dynamotor. The sand crabs probably carried the navigator away, there are millions of them on those islands. It’s like some horror movie.

Charles Lindberg Was Both A Pilot And Brilliant Navigator; A TRUE Hero. Earhart's Mediocre Pilot Skills Were Further Compromised By Her Lazy Refusal To Learn Morse Code And Radio Navigation. Either Would Have Saved Her Life = FACT. She Was Largely A Publicity Stunt.
My question: When she saw the plane overhead, why didn't she try to contact it via radio??
Well we don't know if a plane actually passed by its just for the story and if the person changed it then it wouldn't be real if she contacted them and was saved

Do research about Serbian soldier in WW1 was found dead at Corfu, he survived many battles in Serbia then Serbian army retreat at Greek Island of Corfu, many was lost due sickness cholera, he died as well. But the best part is they found a song in his pocket, song name is "there far far away" or on Serbian "tamo daleko". Its most beautiful and touching song about his homeland, wife, church and how he is stuck at the island but always thinking about his homeland and singing about it.

Amelia Earhart's plane parts were found almost 6 years ago in 2014. Odd you struggled to find actual facts. Weird you "think" she crashed into a random island when parts of her plane have been found on a very specific island. She wasn’t ‘never’ found, because scientists think that they recovered the two skeletons of them, and when measured for height they were the same heights as them, so she might have not been ‘never found’ in the end.
