@nathanbates1260 we're in Perth right now! There is a site called packraftingtrips.nz that gives you a breakdown of some of the popular river runs across NZ. A goos entry level one could be the Capless River near Glenorchy/Queenstown. That's the first trip we did on our own. The main rapids are near the end and can easily be portaged
I'm using an Alpacka Gnarwhal and Danya is using an Alpacka Wolverine. All the hiking and packrafting was shot on a GoPro Hero 10, but the shots of walking around the gorge at the end were shot on a Panasonic GH6
My red one is about ~3.3 kg and Danyas is a bit lighter at ~3.1kg. There's a bunch of different models between 1.5 - 3.5 kg that are all rated for different whitewater. Then you've got to factor in the weight of the other gear like helmet, PFD, wetsuit/drysuit, paddle, throw bags and other safety gear. You're looking at another 2 kg on-top of the raft at least, ours is probably more like 3 kg
We don't really have any travel plans for the next few years. Moving back to Canada next year and will be there for quite a while. Haven't looked into Kashmir, but will take a look now 🙏

Definitely worth it! A few adrenaline pumping parts for less experienced packrafters, but overall a really good trip

In this video we mainly used a GoPro Hero 10, but we have a wind sock type thing around it which helps stop most wind from messing up the audio

Definitely need to do a beginners course first and go on some easier trips before tackling this one. Packrafting Queenstown runs a good course!
