Genuinely amazing. Other people have said things, and I think you deserve even more praise than that, but I want to very specifically congratulate you for your pacing. You've written something where not every phrase is the same length, and yet every phrase feels just as long as it needs to be. Really, defining sections feels kind of pointless because of how well it flows. From a sort of storytelling-type perspective, I'm really impressed. Definitely paying attention to your future works.

This is such a lovely piece hearing it in full!! It was great to see that strings section you shared on Twitter written out. I love your harmonies through this - always have but here they’re all chords and progressions that really suit the piece well, especially in that F minor section! I love the ending with the added ninth in the first violins. Some lovely woodwind swells too, those are always so fantastic! Loved hearing the whole piece. Definitely inspiring for me!!

@@HollandAlbright You're welcome!! and I know my comments are always so analytical... that's how I listen to music and how I've always been in college! But thinking over the title from an emotional perspective, it has a real "goose-bumps" moment that just makes me think of a "musical hug" in a way. Such a lovely work!!!

@@AndyRue25 Yes to Ghibli- I'm a big, big fan of Hisaishi. Also a lot of inspiration from the various composers of Final Fantasy soundtracks (Uematsu, Hamauzu, Tanioka- I love most of that stuff), and then a few romantic classical composers as well.
