Cause scenes like the firecracker and homelander one are common in the boys. Meanwhile seeing one of the seven actually save someone and see real admiration cause of it is so rare for the show and it’s now so good because it’s rare. The writers did such a good job making a moment like that hit

Ong. While some people might use powers for greed and shit. Helping others is one hell of a dopamine rush. I dont understand why these heroes don't at least save one person and experience that feeling. It's something every human has felt at least once unless you are genetically a psychopath. Seeing someone being genuinely happy/grateful for something you did is an amazing feeling. Sure it ain't selfless but humans have always been inherently selfish like all animals on the planet

A Train lived on his own world for so long, his fans cheered him because he's a celebrity, not because he's a hero saving lives.
so him seeing a kid that adored him because he just saved a life, is something he's been missing for so long now. he thought people smiling at him because he's entitled to, but doing heroic stuff and the smile is pure, he needs that and now his redemption arc is almost complete. I'm sorry A Train fans, but this is a clear sign for a beloved character to die, he probably will die fighting Homelander, someone he's been feared for so long, that's when his redemption is complete.

His character arc is inspirational. Respect.
He reminds me of the character arc of Tom Cruises' character in The Last Samurai (2003) and the former government general in Shaolin (2011) .
Whoever likes characters like these they will enjoy the movies mentioned above.
Redemption arcs were one of my favorite in terms of writing. Glad to see that finally there is major one in The boys too.
