I used to think Slash was overrated, partly due to the whole Guitar Hero thing. But then I watched videos of him playing recently, and I have to say, compared to older videos, I think the man gets even more skillful as the years pass. Major props to Myles as well. Excellent singer. Possibly the best if not the ONLY man for the job.

Axel was great too, I love his vocal, but Myles did an amazing job, it is so hard to sing what is legendary, Myles is a great professional and he did everything perfectly.
Slash's Paradise City Outro Solo for this version is very clean and fabulous, very close to the studio version, even his solo in "Not in This Lifetime" tour w/ the real GNR is not close enough. This Solo version is the best. 5:15 Crazy Solo!!!

After picking myself up off the floor the first time i listened to the CD Apocalyptic Love, locating my face again, I popped it back in and listened to the whole thing about five more times. After that initial blow-back Myles voice and its nuances realllllllly come out and it just gets more and more amazing the more you hear it through the songs. By the end I was just going "wow. holy shit. what a voice!!!" Especially on the ballad type songs. Weeoowwww.

People that did the music History, think about Clapton or BB (the last if one of my top 5 guitarist ever) are not technical advanced, but you listen to them for something different (feel, touch, etc.). This said, Slash is a great musician (disclaimer, not for his last 25 years of career, imho, but for his return at a pure rock blues base music at his finest with AFD), a great composer with not so constructed solos (but so melodical), but talking about Technique is boring. His live solos are frequently out of tune when he bends, and same scales for hours since 30 years ago. And… given that i could be a guitar professor at a music school, and a professional musician too, i don’t need to show you nothing, or to lose my time in recording or uploading something, to argue my argued opinion. Is Slash’s Technique great for you? Ok, good for you, peace, bye.
Apparently Myles missed or didn't hear about the auditions in 1985 for G'n'R. They just chose Axl because they went with what they could get. Myles is the vocalist that G'n'R SHOULD have had.
you can't compare both singers, they are very different in all ways. Axl was a god in his time, but not now, Myles probably is one of the best singers now days.

He was a good singer and there's no denying that. While, I have to agree that Myles and Slash are a match made in heaven. I personally LOVE Starlight by them. But, Guns n Roses as a band was one of the best things that happened to the world. As they played a room that was supposed to hold 500? But twice that amount where there all singing to every song especially This one❤🎸😎👍
