How To Make A Mermaid Tail | SUPER EASY!

Hi guys! Here is a super easy video on how you can make your very own mermaid tail!! I will leave a very detailed description on how you can make one down below!
~Directions~
Materials:
1. Performance or swimmable fabric (I got mine from Joanne's Fabric Store, yardage will depend on how long you want your tail to be)
2. Chalk
3. Mermaid Tail Pattern (here is the link to the video I created: ( • How To Make a Mermaid ... )
4. Sewing Machine/Sewing Kit (scissors, pins, matching thread)
~Steps~
1. Lay your fabric right side in (the pattern/nice material) should be on the inside
2. Lay your mermaid tail pattern on the fabric and begin to trace around with the chalk. I left 1 inch around the entire pattern for some wiggle room.
3. Once you trace the pattern with chalk, begin to pin on the chalk line all around the pattern.
4. Cut out of the pattern, still leaving the pins in place.
5. Sew on the line of the chalk, cutting off excess material.
6. Turn it inside out and it's all done!!
7. optional you can add velcro to get your monofin in and out, details on any of the tails, paint them, create an extra fluke pattern. Make your tail your own!!

As stated in the video, you can go to a local Joann’s fabric store. If your city does not have one, Michael’s may have spandex fabric, or any local fabric store. If you still can’t find any, I recommend using an online fabric store or amazon!

Yes it is! It's a spandex type of material which you can swim in.

You can, but it does take a lot longer. If you do, I’d recommend 2-3 over stitches just to ensure all of the seams are completely stitched together!

hard to make? It's actually really easy! I think designing is harder in my opinion.
