Nice. I actually worked on one of these Infinity hot wire cutters. It really is great. The max speed feature available at any time (due to its servomotors) makes it the fastest cnc cutter I ever worked with. Great machine. One thing though. It would be great if the turn table would reset to zero once it reaches 360 degrees, so when you want to go back to 0 x 0 on absolute move the turning table wouldn't start turning back to 0, making it imposible to use full speed while returning my wire to 0 x 0 absolute move
Hi, you can make zero without move the rotating table, switching the selected turning mode from vertical to horizontal and vice versa.

at 1:21, how did it cut the grooves? they are entirely concave at the narrowest part of the column.
great question. i was wondering too. what we do is after cutting the convex with straigh wires, we use 16 SWG (1.5 mm thk) nichrome wires to shape a profile it retains the shape without the need for tension. then we sweep or shave where we need to create concavities... but still dont know how the guys in this video did it !!
The Infinity is equipped with a carver. A 1 mm thk NiChrome wire section is shaped and fixed in the brass supports of the carver wich is mounted on the sliders of the machine, allowing it to make precise carvings to define and decorate EPS models. the Hull of a boat. Design it in sections. Could do it? Maybe even in sections, if need be, 1/2 width or 1/3rd width at time. So you would cut the boat into working blocks for the cutting? I want to do this, then use the shaped high density foam as the plug, then build the mold over the foam plug.
