I just noticed a very similar radio available on Amazon in the US, it is called Audiocrazy. Appears to be the exact same radio, slightly different look. The Audiocrazy had Bluetooth, which this Toshiba does not have. It is here: a.co/d/4rZmePt
I have one of these badged as Geepass for the uk . They do work very well and are good for mp3 playback . I agree the DSP tuning is fiddly and noisy but you get used to it after a while . Sound quality is good . For the money they are very good value and seem quite well made . Nice review . I enjoyed it . Best wishes to you .

Thank you for your comment! Yes, it is quite strange, I have searched for it myself but I do not find it listed on any North American or European e-commerce websites or at any outlets there. I did get a comment from someone in the UK some time ago that he bought one in the UK but under a different name, I forgot the name now. As I said in my review, this radio really excels on FM. My interests are mostly SW and MW, so I actually gave this radio to my mother because she likes to listen to a distant FM station (50 km, 30 miles away). The station is right next to a very strong local station on the dial. This radio picks up the distant station, easily and clearly.
Unfortunately I do not have a Panasonic 2400D, but as far as I know the Panasonic does not cover shortwave. So if you need shortwave, you should buy this Toshiba. It's a nice radio. But the Panasonic, from what I have heard, is very good on AM and FM. So if that is all you use, I would rather go for the Panasonic. It is a great, reliable brand!
You might consider the XHDATA D-109, no USB port, but it does play SD cards, so you can still play your own music. The D-109 is great on shortwave and quite good on MW, much better than this Toshiba.
@@swlistening I do have a Tecsun R9012 and Degen De1103 but I wanted something with an analog look and feel to it. Something I can just put on a table and leave it on for the entire day. I was disappointed this is a dsp radio too. But thanks! I subbed to the channel great infos.

@@swlistening Thats great. I just saw RF-2400 in a local online store. Now I might get that. I also have a Panasonic RF562DD. I'm not sure if its a true analog. I got a dud though cause the shortwave isn't working on that one. EDIT Ah its the RF-2400 is DSP radio. That means it'll kill drown out faraway AM stations here in my country which I listen to at night. 😔

I think the radio is a nice addition to a hifi system. It sort of blends in.

It seems to be available on Amazon in some countries, and some other local sites in places like Egypt, UAE and India.
Sorry for not asking a question about shortwave radio, but how many TV stations you can receive without cable or satellite in your city?
No problem! Our TV stations are now all digital, so you need digital decoders for all the signals, even the public service stations.

Too bad its not very good on MW. I'm a MW listener and this one would have been perfect because it has decent shortwave reception and USB port.
