- Heyo everyone!
Welcome back to Lofi Startup! In this video my friend Max and I chat about all things Mobile App related. A common question we get is: How Should I Build my Startup’s Mobile App?
Firstly we touch on if/when you should even consider building a mobile app and whether it is the right choice for your company or startup.
Then we chat about all things no-code/low-code as well as frameworks like: React Native, Flutter, Ionic etc.
We then discuss when to maybe choose pure native Android and iOS development (including things like SwiftUI).
Finally we add some bonus thoughts on Expo and how it has matured as a great choice for React Native development.
Ultimately, framework or tech stack choice should not be the primary focus of any app development journey. What is more important is: do people actually like the product and does it have product market fit? Once you have that, you can apply any stack you want and refine it to achieve the best long-term results.
I tried more of a longer form / conversational style format for this video - let me know if you like it!
Hope you enjoy and find this useful for your own projects.
Until next time!
Best,
Jed

Finally found content about Lowcode tools combined with traditional dev skills
Felt alone in the niche until I found your videos 😎
And do you fucking live in Grenoble like I do or am I tripping???
Glad you are enjoying it Simon! Thanks for sticking around and watching!
I’m in Cape Town
100% agree, I want lowcode tutorials for people who know how to code. There is so many options out there, so many little hacks to go faster, just exploring the possibilities is really interesting
@@simon1386 you are absolutely tripping, Grenoble hasn't seen such a sunny day in years 😂
Very good points brought up in this video, especially on what tools are necessary for product implementation. Native being the best choice for performance and if your app's core features are based around the devices native components. low-code for concepts, ionic and expo being much more mature with react native in the middle ground/ sweet-spot.
100%! Thanks for watching Grant & glad you enjoyed it!
This is an amazing video. I've learnt a lot from it so thank you very much.

I create own stack for building mobile apps for own startup. I think its an essential part than using prebuilt stacks as you did.
Glad that’s working for your startup!
Next time, you should face the window so your camera is by the window. thank me later.
Thanks for watching & feedback!
Right
@@lofistartupHQHe’s not trolling, the lighting would be much improved over the current setup. As it stands, you two are completely in shadow.

Great idea!
Nice getting this content at my side. What is the advice for a beginner like me? Should i start with React Native?
Thanks for watching! There is no right way to start, just pick something and get going. RN solid choice if you want to build cross-platform frameworks
Thank You for this, Sir

Good content & audio. Just wanna give some quick tips: lighting & composition are important. Put some more light (so people can see yr faces without trying) and move yr self closer (the background looks great but y'all look too far away, hard to focus). Keep it up!
Thanks Thomas!
