she is not just telling her own story but the people in Davao Oriental. one thing i notice about her since day 1.. is she always introduce herself sa mga tao,but also introducing her culture and roots and how amazing the place where she came from. yon yong maganda na sakanya,this is how Philippines should be represented..yong mas malalim ang pagka Pilipina.
This young woman, Klyza, did more than just share her personal story - she also brought attention to her tribe, the Mandaya, and their causes. Prior to hearing from her, I was not familiar with this tribe, but thanks to Klyza, I learned about them and their struggles. Klyza's authenticity and passion make her a true Filipina at heart, and I believe she is a strong contender for the crown. She did not rely on glitz or glamour, but instead delivered a powerful message through her genuine and heartfelt storytelling. She truly deserves to win.

I learn to k ow her duting mutya ng pilipinas and miss asia pacific, i started to like her during her fut miss asia. Na makikita mo na gebuine personality, very reapected lady. Good speaker at higit sa lahat nakakabighani ang kanyang gandang pinay. Napaka sincere nya even when the last farewell in mutya. And now her she comes aw a candidate.
During aces and queens presentation it caught my attention na lalo syang gumaganda at yung aura nya nag iba na winning glow from tue start. I am a fan of Pauline and Michelle and at first, I wanted one of them to win. But then I learned about Klyza through Luis Portelles’ videos. Now I am rooting for this girl. Manalo or matalo, I will be proud to send her to the Miss Universe stage. A 100% pure Filipina who can wholistically represent us, our nationality, our skin color, our personality, culture, and even humor. She is so relatable on all levels. I mean Michelle is a pure Filipina too but for some reason, I, a simple pinoy who lives a simple and frugal life, cannot relate to her. I love Michelle because I know she is intelligent and obviously beautiful, but then comes Klyza - she stole my heart. Yung feeling ko na parang pinsan ko siya kahit hindi naman. Ganun siya ka-relatable 😅

One of the longest #HerStory/tourism video in the series but I wasn't watching the clock tick by due to the fact that the narration and content were both delivered casually and not trying-hard. And there was a lot to learn about a rather far-flung province as Davao Oriental. Who knew that surfing is a popular watersport there or that one is able to fly on a light aircraft (one-engine?)? Although I would be lying if I wouldn't admit to feeling extreme panic seeing the authentically indigenous beauty Klyza Ferrando Castro being geared up to soar up to the sky. Whoa!...really brave of her to do it just to be part of a beauty competition! Her advocacy of promoting her tribe's traditional artisanal products though should definitely be highly commended, although not sure if the Miss Universe platform would readily embrace it as it is kinda ethnocentric and would be hard to take across the globe - er, the universe - as an idea. Still, big props and huge good luck to her for doing what she's authentically passionate about and may her tribe and tribal fortune increase!

But what amazes me is their similarity in their strong passion to showcase their hometown and how this strongly contribute to their transformational leadership. It isn't just base on popularity and their self interest, but they are highlighting more of the contribution of their fellowmen and how they are shaped by their community.

She’s the best bet to go to El Salvador. I think Miss Davao Oriental is the most well-rounded and balanced candidate this year. She can penetrate whatever format set this coming MU edition. She can walk, she can talk with substance (not pageant patty), her personality is bubbly yet classy. Not to mention, she has the personality and a strong and genuine advocacy under her belt. Tall at 5’9 and pure Filipina who knows our culture since she was born and raised here.
