Believe you get the context here. He is asking her to right a letter for him. He says the content and she converted that to a tune. If you watch close, Kamal says something and she literally sings that as a song for him. Intrestingly he is saying all those things about her itself. Movie is about A man named Guna who has mental issues and he dreams about a girl / godess and gets convinced she is the same person seen in this video. Movie didn't run well at the time, however this song got a cult following since. It recently became a trend since the song was used in the movie Manjummal boys which is a blockbuster and still running wild in theatres all over India right now.

This cave DEVILS KITCHEN is quite dangerous, the crew had to tread very cautiously, there is a pit somewhere where 19 known people have died without a trace to this day, only one guy was rescued and that was made into a movie recently in Malayalam language as Manjummel boys.
This movie Guna was released in the 90s. In this movie Kamal hasan, acted as Guna a person having imental disorder. His character is GUNA . He was born in a brothel mingle with a temple neighborhood. So he believes, that he is Lord Shiva and expecting or waiting for his wife Goddess Parvathi. He met the girl at the temple and he believes she is the spouse he is waiting so far. But the girl was a rich orphan . At first she hated Guna as the unexpected circumstances happened and Guna took her to the jungle. Her anger to Guna melted when she realised the family manager was waiting to kill her for assets. Guna rescued her from the murder attempts and hide in a cave. Guna is an illiterate and a mental disorder person . He tells a poem about his affection for her and tells her to write it because he doesn't know how to write. That is this song Kanmani.... The end of the movie is tragic. The girl was shot by the villain and she dies, and Guna jump down with her body, killing himself. The song became popular at that time. Then the location is renamed as GUNA CAVE, before it is known as Devi's kitchen. In 2024 the song again became popular because it was highlighted in the movie MANJUMMEL BOYS .

2. Post the release of the movie the cave got the name Guna caves.
3. Guna caves is an extremely dangerous place where there are hidden holes and if don't watch your steps could fall in to it.
4. It is said that the holes are as deep about 900 feets.
5. Post the release of the movie, this spot became a tourist attraction.
6. It is said that 15 people fell in to the holes per government records and atleast 50 + unaccounted falls there. None of the people who fell came back. Wasn't even able to retrieve their body.
